A thermostatic plate is a thermostat, allows more or less oil to pass to the cooler. Just like your engine coolant termostat.

The sandwich adapter goes between the oil filter and the motor, with lines running into and out of the core. That's how the cooler gets fed oil. A thermostatic sandwich plate had a temperature...

The rows are the size of the oil cooler. They seem to mostly be 19, 25 and 34 rows. You make the blockoff plate yourself. If the oil won't get warm enough, make a plate to cover part of the oil...

Since you have the stock oil cooler sandwich you'll have to use a shot oil filter if you arent already. Like Mobil1 1008A. The longer filters can technically fit. Mine did. But I'd have to loosen...
