At freeway speeds the IAT difference will be negligible. You need to check it at low speeds, especially after sitting still. Replicate traffic conditions. At 60+ mph, there's plenty of cooler...

As soon as those radiator fans kick on its going to be blowing hot air at those intakes. If you're set on a SRI, consider some kind of deflector or heat shield.
