ATTENTION!! 2009-2010 owners with steering lock/wont start issues
Since people are reporting that the replacement ESCLs are failing, I'd say Nissan did not fix the problem. Pull the fuse.

Ok, so I got out of the gym this eve, the dreaded little "Key" light came on, car would not start, tried putting the fob into the slot, nothing, had someone come get me to get my second key (was not...

ATTENTION!! 2009-2010 owners with steering lock/wont start issues
Update: I went to the dealership to retreive the car after work today (I work 7PM-7AM for now) as the service rep had called me at 3PM the previous day to advise that the car was repaired and ready...

On thread :
ATTENTION!! 2009-2010 owners with steering lock/wont start issues
I haven't seen any reports of an ESCL engaging while the car is in motion. IIRC, the car looks at the ESCL only during starting and will not shut off the car if it moves out of position when running....

I also fell victim to the steering lock issue. Mine failed around 2 years ago. I had to have my car towed to the dealership and paid $1000+ for the new part. Subsequently, I was never given notice...

Pull the fuse and you will only be without your car for the hour or so it will take them to replace the ESCL when the replacement comes in. When the dealer replaces the ESCL they will probably want...

After it rains, some rust appears. Braking scrapes this off. But is this pic normal?
That is 100% normal. The pads do not cover that portion of the rotor, so the rust doesn't get rubbed off when braking. Some aftermarket rotors come painted black to prevent the exposed metal from...

Yeah those are normal. Even my 350Z with Akebono transplant brakes had those. If it really bothers you, spray your rotor hats and rusted area (after prepping, of course) with high temp paint and let...

You probably had your rotors machined & they cut all the way across rotor; instead of where the pads contact...normal procedure for a lot of tech's/ but I resurfaced my own & only cut where the pads...

Bad situation and want to not get screwed again
I hit a parking garage wall at like 3 mph in May (don't ask). I didn't know a crack was there until my light went out. Idk if that even caused the crack. The dealer didn't see it for some reason...
