2015 Nismo Build

Took delivery Dec 9th finally after a 4 month wait, love this car so far. Coming from a 2008 G37 TT. Parted out all but the big brake kit, and starting from scratch on the Z.

docaam 01-22-2015 12:19 AM

Subscribing, did the same took similar parts out from G to the Z

b15 01-24-2015 02:22 AM

Not wasting any time I see. Looking good!

TT aside, how are you liking the Z vs the G?

DPE G 01-24-2015 10:26 AM

Very different car surprisingly, the Z is definitely more of a driver's car. While I loved the G I think its more practical but I wouldn't trade back. Z just feels connected in every way. I miss the room of the G, not so much the back seat but the Z needs about 2 inches more leg room and about the same on the pillar. Once you are in the car it's fine but it's a chore to get in and out at times, especially in tight parking spaces.

Ni55anPat 01-24-2015 06:08 PM

nice!

Z-Girl 12 01-24-2015 06:50 PM

Very nice, sub'd...are you leaving the fender trimming thingies???

MicntaeG35 01-24-2015 09:06 PM

Subd. Beautiful car!

DPE G 01-25-2015 09:44 AM

I'm going to leave the fender trim until after I mount the wheels to see if they look any better, if not they will be coming off.

b15 01-26-2015 03:20 PM

are those 'fender flares' just taped on trim pieces? They seem like an after thought from the pictures.

JC-Nismo 01-26-2015 04:53 PM

Looks pretty good lowered

Pictures do this car no justice. The flares are held on by rivets in the wheel liner and have seen brackets that extend into the wheel liner bolts. They look ok in person I plan on leaving them on until I mount my wheels and see if they look any better w some more flush wheels.

Got it. From the pics it looks like those door edge guards that are just held on by double sided Tape.

Cant wait to see the new brakes and wheels

ufoz8mycow 01-26-2015 08:54 PM

When are the wheels going on?!

DPE G 01-26-2015 11:36 PM

Soon! Need tires, lugs and a second set of tpms.

DPE G 01-27-2015 09:19 AM

Just a teaser until I can get the fronts dialed in and come down slightly. Fronts will need a roll and some trimming to the liner. Hoping to get this done this weekend.

DPE G 02-27-2015 08:57 AM

Got done late so here is the only crappy pictures I have. I will be adjusting the height today and rolling the fronts and evaluating the need to trim the bumper tab or just the liner. Rears fit perfect. Current specs are 20x11 +0 with a 285/30/20 and 20x9.5 +16 with a 245/35/20. The fronts were sent back and re-lipped from 10s to 9.5s to avoid having clearance issues, and glad I did, it's perfect as is, once I eliminate rubbing issues.
