YzGyz's turn!

I would recommend a 1/2" breaker bar at least 18", 1/2" extension set and set of deep impact sockets. Getting the demon bolt off can be a bitch and you'll definitely want a second pair of hands.

The diff all comes down to if get the bushing in the diff frame is a ************ or not. If it slide out nicely the job isn't that bad. If it decides to be a ********** then goodluck. Awesome Z said mine was a bitch and if they ever get a job like that again they are doubling the hours to complete on the estimate

I have a 1/2'' breaker bar. I need more extensions to make the 18". I was thinking I might pick up a 1/2 pneumatic impact wrench form Harbor Freight and use that if I can get the sensors off so I don't bust them with the vibrations.

As for the read diff bushing, I have somewhat of a plan of attack for that. It has something to do with a 3ton bottle jack, wood, a drill and some grunt. We will see in a few weeks when I get my stuff from SpecialtyZ and a few days off.

Harbor Freight has some impact swivel sockets that I hear work well on the demon bolt. Something like this 7 Pc 1/2 in. Drive Metric Impact Swivel Socket Set

Might be getting me a set of those

I just used an impact grade 1/2" knuckle and mated it to my impact socket. Worked like a charm. Well after Chuck and I broke two 3/8" wobbles and a knuckle

I was so excited about my up coming turbo upgrade, I forgot about the upgrades I have already made on my car!

My first mod was this one.... lol, the fool that had my car prior to me had no idea what sport car should feel and be capable of doing.

My next mod was tinting my windows. I forgot exactly what I had put on but iirc, SolarGuard with metal and ceramic to help block the sun. 30% in back and 13% in front I think. He guarantee his work. If it peels or discolor, he replaces it free. I'll have to look for the receipt later to find how much I paid for it. No pictures of before or after, sorry.

My first "real" upgrade was the sound system. This was a "cheap" budget sound system compared to the other ones my brothers and I have done.

The sound system consist of:
-Kenwood HU +$200 online sale where I picked it up at the local Fry's since they price match and had some in stock.
-Focal 6.5 I forgot which one but they are entry level or something.
-Alpine type R shallow
-custom box
-SoundStream amps (good bang for buck, plus I wanted small amps)

In this pic, I have laid out the foil and about to glass the box.

It's wired a little differently now but you got the idea.

I wanted a clean look and the tweeters did not fit into the dash area so I came up with this. It works like a charm.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps13d2dde3.jpg

I still get great air flow out of the vent.

next came the Famuto! This thing rocks! I just wish the opening was bigger so that it would drain faster but ohh well. One flick and the oil drains. No more ratcheting.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps4f5a5c0d.jpg

I then found out about product made by 3M. It's a clear spray on film to help protect the paint. I wanted to try it out so I bought me 3 cans and went to work. I washed my car 2x, then waxed her 2x then parked her in the garage. The next day, I taped. OMG did the prep take long!

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse5a41722.jpg

This is a picture to show how glossy it look after it dries.

The product works but It's hard to do it right. You want to do it in the garage or somewhere there is no wind! It is very difficult to spray a even coat of the stuff. Overall, the stuff works but it's not clear bra. It was killer hard to remove it a year later.

My latest upgrade was my FI CBE non resonated. It took a while for it to come but man was the thing shiny! It was a easy install. IT sound 100x better than the stock Nismo. I think it's a little to loud imo. Maybe I should of went 12" resonated. Hopefully the snail will quiet it down some. $1300

Hey, Are you able to put up a Sound Clip of the FI Non Res that you have? Like a drive by or something? I can't find any drive offs, just start ups and revs on Youtube.

Thanks

Check the disc for warpage before install. Ask me how I know.

After seeing both side by side, I doubt you could warp the 6 puck

Yeah, Rob at RPS who actually makes the clutches said that there's no way the hub on the full face is stout enough for turbo use. Six puck or nothing.

YzGyz 12-28-2014 10:19 AM

I'll find me a flat surface and take a look in a day or two.

YzGyz

YzGyz 12-28-2014 10:21 AM

Hi 5 is even more stout right?

YzGyz

Chuck33079 12-28-2014 10:22 AM

I believe so. RPS recommended the 6, so I'll go with that. No sense in making things unpleasant to drive if you don't have to.

Chuck33079 12-28-2014 10:55 AM

Also, don't forget a turbo blanket.
