Oh well.. I wasnt suppose to show the progress like this but why not. Its not the critical part of the new built so there it is, the last update.

Any updates on your build?

Megan370z 07-21-2016 08:04 PM

No, i am not dead just yet but just spending less time on the project and not giving any end date as I ran into a couple issues that needed to be fixed.
Since i am not really going on the track soon, the side project keep adding up !

so far, the wing project is going alright then the Turbo setup intake side isnt done and will probably be the next time once the wing is done.

For more update as I dont post here much now, look up One Man Team Motorsport on Facebook !!!

everything as a price

Megan370z 07-31-2016 06:51 PM

the end is close on the wing project !!!
Cant wait to have it done now but it wont be soon as i need to put an order for some Carbon Fiber to finish both elements.

At this moment only the main element has 3 layers of fiberglass and will receive 2 layer of CF.
The second element is naked at this moment. i expect to put 2 layer of FB on Wednesday then 2 layer of CF once i receive the order in a couple weeks.

But for now this is how it looks !!!

It means that everything as a price and if you really want it . I could make you a set! But it wont be cheap.

As per what GaleForce said, there is a lot of things that were made and done by myself on the car.

it does not need to be in CF to be expensive!
the aluminum sheets & rod, cutters, fab time, welding, machining, testing.
It gets expensive quick !

You do realize its a setup that require air pressure to move the wing up and down. Not cheap setup overall !!
:wtf2:

BGTV8 08-17-2016 09:04 PM

F4rk - moveable aero devices are legal in Canadian motorsport .... our sports cars rules preclude moveable wings whilst the car is in motion.

I take my hat off to you ............. from fab-skill to inventiveness .........

im gonna refresh them a bit then take a couple pictures ...

on a another better topic!!!

Look at this 76 3/8'' wing its almost done and just require to drill the holes in the right location then install the mounting brackets.
It require another coat of epoxy then sand it smooth before the clear coat but i might just paint instead...

might want to check that video out!
the wing has only a slight flex with a 200lbs weight... i dare anybody doing the same test with only the extremities holding their wing..

I had surgery on sept 20th and today was my first day back to work with limitation.

before surgery I did apply a coat of epoxy on the CF bracket mount but they need to be wet sanded and a clear coat applied.
I am not gonna go to the garage for a couple weeks still.

if you want them as is.. let me know and I will ship them to you after receiving payment.

200$ +shipping

that's include the CF bracket, let me know if you wish the mounts with the brackets.

Megan370z 12-01-2016 08:46 PM

For the few guys who still remember my Z

for now this is where the project is going !
Someone gonna enjoy this wing :stirthepot:

depending how much CF left I have.. it might be finish in a week !

btw the center foam section was redone today and reassembled properly since on this picture the rib on the left section wasn't installed at the right location. It should be like on the right section.

Disregard the trailing edge because they haven't been cut to length just yet.
