Joepro's Boosted Performance build thread!

After months of deliberation, and the orginal plan of going with a GTM supercharger, Sashas outstanding service and knowleged convinced me this kit was the way to go, some deciding factors for those on the fence:

1. FANTASTIC customer service, alsways quick to respond to messages, easy to work with, and handles his business with percision, he does what he says he will do, period.

2. Self install, I was considering the GTM supercharger, which is aslo self install, and the VSR kit, which is an in-house build, after reading the instruction manual for the BP kit, it is no sweat to install.

3.Twin scroll setup, looking at dyno graphs the power curve is similar to a supercharger curve, it just makes a lot more tq, but the twin scroll works well from what evidence I see.

4. ALL high quality parts, Treadstone IC, tial BOV and gates, turbowerks pump, etc. Also the crafstmanship is excellent on the handbuild, did I mention handbuilt parts?

5. Design, I was skeptical of having a turbo mounted under the car, but the kit is well thoughout and the turbo is tucked up above the front cradle away from danger, and keeps the turbo heat out of the already heat soaked engine bay.

The build offically starts Monday 3/3/14! All parts are in hand and ready to go!

I work at a dealer(yes I know everyone hates the service advisors, but cut me some slack!) so I have access to a lift and tools, I work a small amount after work this week and installed the ATI gauge pod and 2 AEM gauges Boost/afr failsafe and oil pressure into the car.

A few pics to get started!

Only thing I have to do out of the norm is I have to have DE flanges welded on because I have Z1 headers, other than that it should be smooth sailing.

For the price, it is the most economical kit out there, I simply could not afford a FI TT kit or want to wait untill I did, but agreed it is a great kit no doubt, I love FI products, but the twin scroll is great on this car even with a single turbo, Vince and the R/T guys have seen a few of these now, and I think they would agree!

The most important thing to remember is that every single BP customer is very happy with the entire process. This is from a simple inquiry about the kit to the 1,3,5 years down the road after many shredded tires. The biggest complaint my customers have is the regret for not buying the kit sooner.

On the other hand, F.I has a very nice kit. I can say with a great deal of confidence that it is the best TT kit on the market, by a long shot. The nice thing is that each person will decide what is best suited for their goals/needs/budget...hence the diversity with forced induction options.

If it wasn't for the F.I kit and the BP kit, the "other" manufacturer would not be looking to improve their kit (something they have been desperately trying to do ever since I started posting here a couple of years ago). The way that situation has developed is a whole other story though.

That cannot be described without using the word "cluster" :rofl2:

Goodluck Joe and congrats! Can't wait to see the final product.
