It's good. still need to get the tune dialed n in for driveability items but full throttle is good. I also need to get my FI exhaust installed but I'm waiting on Sasha to send me the V1.5 IC piping.

oh and just in case anyone was wondering the g is more car than a 911turbo. no racing involved but we both needed a lane on the freeway. it wasn't enough car

jlo370z 08-07-2014 07:50 AM

Well thanks to the help of some good friends got the sway bars installed yesterday.

i obviously could not drive the car, but from the bitch position I was able to see that the car definitely has no roll in corners and most importantly I stayed firmly planted in my seat. I cant wait to test it out myself. my friend driving said its a big difference over the stock.

only item missing now are my side skirts, hope those are here before end of august. Ive already started some conversation for winter projects. Looking at doing a short block upgrade with compression change to up boost a little and have it more reliable. and head lights.

so stay posted for upgrade to come! Love this car!!

Track guys, read my blog....... what rotors should i get for track day/street use and pads?

should i just do pads on the rears?

axmea? 08-10-2014 08:00 AM

Get well quick so you could drive her more before the winter. Three , three and a half months of good weather maybe. Can't wait to see the headlight mod.

Thanks I hope to be able to drive mid sept- oct. I should know more Friday lots of rehab to come.

Yeah I have always wanted the headlights done, found a guy locally through a friend who does them, for an amazing price. and his work looks excellent.

I stll have the adjustable clutch peddle to put in, and i ordered some o2 extenders from Z1 to see if that will get ride of the SES light.

by the way axmea, your car is beautiful, and id like to recommend the Zele rear fascia and quad tips to complete the look instead of the amuse rear ;)

If I upgrade I'm just going with the Z1 upgrade kit

Is it track proven? Or just because of the weight savings?

To be honest don't know all the specifics. It's reasonably priced considering what you can spend on brakes. Think the entire kit is under $1500

I'm guessing that's front and rears?

Yup. You can buy it in pieces too. Notary how much if any weight savings. Only reason I would do brakes is for reducing unsprung weight

I was way off the price. Track proven and saves 30lbs

jlo370z 08-24-2014 01:38 PM

whoa almost fell to page 3.

Got my o2 extenders , need to install them at some point soon to see if it can turn off the SES light.

Pulled my Headlights yesterday and got them off to Zworks for paint/led work cant wait to see them on the car. Going with a flat black housing, with Gloss black projector shroud covers. Iron man led lights on front projector and red demon eyes.

debating the tinting of the rear tail lights, was thinking tint them (with film) and do the carbon fiber duck bill. not sure if it will be to much. still trying to be subtle.

Getting ready for emissions? Should be easy with a OBDII scanner.

I don't think the code is the issue. I think the issue is having both sensors in the same bank. I think the ECU is trying to correct with fuel and seeing no response because there isn't a post sensor in bank 1 so it struggles.

My car seems to be border line on the SES, from time to time it clears the code. When it does it idles and starts at any temp normally , with or without the air being on. If I can move those sensors up and it clears code I'm hoping it smooths it out and rids the SES. If not it was a 30 dollar attempt and I won't worry to much.

Did you scan it to see what code you are throwing? Make sure you're addressing the right sensor. Mine threw the light after I installed intake/exhaust/cats. It was enough mods to expose a damaged sensor in front of the cats. Not even a part I touched during install of any of that stuff. When I took it out, not only did it take the damn threads with it, it was clearly damaged. Probably from the factory. 20 minute job turned into 6 hours and a $300 sensor!:ugh2:

jlo370z 08-25-2014 08:37 AM

Yes been scanned but a good point to bring up for others reading this.

Cool, as long as you know it's not one of the sensors off the headers. :) I talked to Tony at Fast Intentions about this when it happened to me. He mentioned he sees those sensors go bad from time to time even if it is a coincidence that the exhaust cats were changed out. For you, I think the spacers should do it. g'luck!

Not sure why people are having this idle issue. Seems like I am the only one that don't.

I have idle problems only when the car heats up (over 245) or when i turn the air on. it goes away when my SES light is off. and by idle problems i mean rough. it idles but some times it bounces especially with the air on.

nothing drastic or to complain about, just like to go back to smooth idle all the time LOL

Funny thing is when I was stock, my idle was more rough and would bounce or dip when I rev the engine.

Right after I got the tune, it was fixed and the idle is much more consistent.

the Iron man leds will come on with the parking lights, and the demon eyes will operate by switch when ever I want to use them. didnt cost much to add them so i figured why not LOL.

ill post some pics up once I have them on the car hopefully later tonight or tomorrow

GaleForce 08-28-2014 08:55 AM

Looks awesome!

Meulen 08-28-2014 09:08 AM

looks nice Jim!!! make sure they keep that wires for the demon light led's accessible! That way, if you want a different controller on it like a remote or iPhone app controller you can do that later! :)

btw....that was done nice and fast!!! lol

Meulen 08-28-2014 09:11 AM

OH!! I have another idea for you too! :) I've been talkin with A&M about this! I'm thinking about polishing up the headlight lens real nice and having them put the super tough clear on them that they used on my bumper, so they don't get dulled or chipped up.

They can go pretty quick when you don't have to fab parts for the flasher and diffusers! or spend months experimenting with new ways to do things! :)

those are going to be purrrrrrrrrrrty! :tiphat:
