Passport tells me how fast I'm going when it goes off. I hear it really makes your butthole pucker when you look up and it reads 117mph. Not that I would know but I heard that:ugh2:

I had to turn the one on my camp2 off (selected a difference gauge option), as I kept pushing it up and up....156

You had any issues with the kit? Other than oil leaks, which are frustrating, the only other thing I've noticed is something is knocking against something else. I'm leaning toward the crossover pipe is rubbing the bottom of the tranny housing. Haven't had a chance to dig into it yet.

I also noticed this morning that my peak boost is slightly lower than previous (59kPa compared to 62kPa). Thinking that its either the WG spring are finally breaking in and since the EBC holds a percentage gate it's slightly lower. Or the extra heat is slightly effecting boost levels.

I had the one crack in the filter plate holder which has since been repaired. other then that no problems with kit. I do need to have some touch up done to my tune, i think he may have turned my fans off completely, Ive never had the car up over 225 degrees but even at that point , heat soak robs power.
as far as the rattles, I have the same one, actually made me think I had a rod knock in first few weeks of driving it, that and the clutch noise really made me accept noises as part of the deal. I still am paranoid and would love to find an expert tuner in our area just to tell me everything is good.
I can say I've tested this motor/kit pretty hard and she still purrs like a kitten.

Time for some nitto05rs

jwick 06-17-2014 12:46 PM

I've been building a list for my tuner. He'll be touching it up when I get my new exhaust. I'm leaving it for a few days so he should be able to touch areas he wasn't since I brought it to him warm.

I need to pull the trigger on rear chamber and toe bolts. I know I could get better traction if I dialed out negative chamber.

jlo370z 06-30-2014 08:07 AM

After a couple of weekends worth of work I finally got my stereo system installed.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/30/2u3atu3a.jpg
Kenwood dxh891hd, hertz components up front, corner mount sub box with jl 10" sub and jl audio jl500/3

The Nissan base model speaker pods are/were on back order with no time frame for inventory, I ended up buying a scoche 6x9 adapter plate. It said it would fit a 6-1/2 but it doesn't. I was able to trim it and get it to work with the stock 6x9 pods. Only cost 12 bucks too from Crutchfield.

Also ran a back up camera.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/30/u7aqugeg.jpg
Still need to fine tune amp and head unit, but am very happy with sound!

This also is by far the easiest car I have ever ran speaker wires in, from the ease of car coming apart to places to put the wire. kudos to Nissan for a well built, thought out car.

jlo370z 06-30-2014 09:54 PM

So I turned off the traction control for the first time since boosting the car. Second gear, lights up the tires as soon as boost kicks in, Third gear a little tire spin but not to bad.

would go through tires in a hurry if I leave it this way ;)

you should always drive without traction control with a turbo. its the first thing I do when I start the car. I only leave it on in therain when I know I won't see boost

Maybe I'll get the G back on the road this week

jlo370z 07-07-2014 10:18 PM

So a week with out traction control, I will need new tires soon. Stereo is rocking, still needs some fine tuning but happy so far.
My ings carbon fiber side skirts have finally been credited, ordered fujimura cf skirts invoice says 2-3 months so I should have them just in time to put car away for season :( on the plus side I ordered some hotchkis sway bars front and rear ;)
Still need to install adjustable clutch peddle but back out of town I go

hotchkis are good. I recommend the middle setting on the rear bar. you might also have to adjust AN hose arrangement. I also had to cut a few t-bolts to clear the bar. if you are rotated correctly it might not be a problem.

oh and Teflon tape the bushing. It'll help with squeaking but still grease often

jlo370z 07-07-2014 10:47 PM

Thanks for the tips

anytime my man:tiphat:

oh and I found the knocking. it wasn't the crossover pipe on the tranny after all. the t-bolt on the charge pipe right next to the oil block adapter is hitting tge subframe. I'll fix it when I upgrade to v1.5

jlo370z 07-07-2014 10:56 PM

I need to change my oil soon , when I do I'll get under and check for ways to eliminate vibrations. No leaks since day one except for the crack on the filter plate. Pretty happy.

Don't mess with any of those AN fittings if you don't jave any leaks

jlo370z 07-15-2014 06:38 PM

Whoo hoo sway bars will be here Friday , these an easy install? Like to do these and my clutch peddle this weekend

without a BP turbo kit I'd say a couple hours. with one it'll all depends on how much stuff you have to massage while your in there

jlo370z 07-15-2014 06:41 PM

I'm hoping for a slip out slip in install lol

it'll all be in how you routed oil lines and if the charge pipe to the turbo sits high enough.

jlo370z 07-15-2014 06:48 PM

Just found the DIY for them, rear is simple. Will have to see front but as I can recall I should be good

mine was already installed so all I did was have to trim a few of the bolts on t-bolt clamps and zip tie some rubber pieces in place to prevent rattling.

you'll probably probably fine

jlo370z 07-18-2014 05:33 PM

All clean and need some where to go

if Mitch really found the fix for the idle being to remove the post cats I'm just going to have my tuner remove that code.
