:iagree:..i think how you have it right now with 1/2 inch of space is good..just heat wrap that small section of pipe..if you want to be super precautious place a metal shield between.

Interesting. I do not have this issue, but I think Intense relocated the canister during install for me, thinking back to our conversation.

Those guys are pretty good.

I'm wondering whether the bracket holding it in place can be reduced in height (through removing material) and the entire assembly raised? GM uses a decent insulated foil material around its newer model starter motors that does an excellent job of keeping the exhaust manifold from frying the electrical connections to the starter.

fill the exhaust hangers with window weld. i did this before when i had a problem with my sentra's exhaust moving around too much under load. OR kartboy makes a poly hanger i believe, they even come in pink!

oh, and my exhaust isn't rattling anymore :tup: it's still really low though...but maybe we have a way forward now!

def, but im leaving to N. cal this wed so its going to have to be beginning of january if everyone is free. this month has been so busy and the weather sucks

This month is probalby not the best month. Everyone will probably be busy with the holidays. The next few months will be fine.
