Nice. Your paint looks like it needs a good polish

Riptide67 01-26-2014 06:36 PM

Not sure if serious or joking ^

Right under the tail light, there is a portion that looks like swirl marks or maybe finger prints. Probably nothing

Riptide67 01-26-2014 07:18 PM

Ahhh I know what you are talking about. That was damage from the dealershit I used as a bargaining tool. I knew it wasn't going to be there forever, since I had plans to swap it.

Good eye though!

DatsunFTW 01-26-2014 08:06 PM

Awesome job with those pics! got any more? ;)

Riptide67 01-26-2014 11:00 PM

And those forge stars are yummy. Those keep popping up on my list of possibilities for new wheels. Super concave.

Same here but I would really like something different... I like yours a lot Riptide cause of the color :yum:

Riptide67 01-28-2014 12:16 AM

Thanks, dudes! I get a lot of love on the wheels, people go nuts over them and the finish. It's stunning in person!

I've got two options right now:

Tackle it with a buddy who has done his

Pay $300 to have a shop do it

Haven't quite decided yet how I want to handle it lol. If I spend the money, I don't have to screw around with it.

If you do it yourself you're gonna know more about how you car goes together a d you'll ha e the satisfaction of being able to say that you accomplished it, plus you'll know that it's done right.

If you pay $300 (a very good price) you'll save yourself a lot of head ache.

When I did mine I found out that the owner of my car before me had the same exact mods, and all of the nuts and bolts were stripped or rounded off in the engine bay. I had to buy a tap and die kit to get anything apart around the motor and it ended up taking me 3 days to get it all done. One O2 sensor was cross threaded into the cat and I mangled it getting it out, so I had to overnight another one to my house so that I could go to work.

When I was finally done I wanted to set my car on fire and be done with it. But I'm glad I did it.

Riptide67 01-30-2014 06:05 PM

Chuck, that sounds like a real nightmare you ran into! Ill probably save the cash and do it with my friend. He is experienced with it. I'd get a lot more satisfaction that way, which is true. I have so many goodies just sitting in my room that need bolted on.

Best bedroom decor ever lol!

zefaulter 02-04-2014 05:57 PM

When is the boost happening? Make sure the clutch you get can handle the future mod ;)

Riptide67 02-05-2014 02:03 PM

Since I have purchased another DD, I would like for boost to begin shortly after this summer. So, I am hoping to start somewhere around September or October of this year :)

Riptide67 02-07-2014 05:22 PM

Gave my car a nice look over today and am really beginning to despise the last of the chrome/silver accessories on the exterior.

Although I am not a fan at all of the amount of Plasti dip that gets used, I figured for $6.00 it is an easy remedy for the Nissan hamburgers and Z side markers until my Amuse kit is finished. I'm gonna give it a whirl and see how I like it.

The next minor thing that needed addressed was the vents of my new hood. The mesh supplied is cheap and flimsy. I did some shopping around at Home Depot and found some nice aluminum mesh already painted gloss black. Got a good amount to leave room for error, so I'll cut up several pieces and figure out the best way to attach it to the hood vents.

Spent $9.00 to help achieve some minor cosmetics :)

Riptide67 02-09-2014 12:42 PM

My little plasti dip project was a success. It is the easiest aerosol paint. Product to use and if you over shoot your painting area, it is easily cleaned with a little Goo Gone. The replacement vents were a breeze as well! Just secured each with several pieces of 3m tape. Not a bad day of cheap mods!

Decided to switch my stereo system up a bit and went with the Kenwood DNX9900HD unit with their CMOS Back Up camera with integrated night vision and 190 degree field of view :)

Mr&Mrs 02-11-2014 05:33 AM

Love all the new pics!

Riptide67 02-11-2014 11:52 AM

Thanks, Mr&Mrs! I am really having a fun time with the Z34 and the photographers do as well.

Riptide67 02-12-2014 01:51 PM

Let's add another part to the purchased list: Seibon Carbon Fiber 10mm Wider Fenders

Riptide67 02-18-2014 05:20 PM

Hopefully picking up my new DD on the March 1st, a 1993 240sx SE Hatchback...this will also double as a very long term future project car.

This will allow me to focus more on the larger modifications that require some major down time for the 370 and to help keep the mileage down on her.
