Local company has no issues swapping the hatch glass. I had to overnight a damn window seal though and it won't be here until Thursday. I am dropping the oem hatch off tomorrow for the glass to be removed. then, I'll be driving the car over to them with the CF hatch installed. That way the window can be dropped in.
I mocked up the duckbill spoiler and the fitment is perfect. Just have to drill the holes for it. But, I have been debating doing an APR GTC 300. So I may hold off on it for a bit and not drill any permanent holes. Might just see if I can get away with 3m taping it on at NissanFest and removing it for the ride home lol. |
Big start off to the season, winning Best 370Z at NWMotiv's NissanFest 2015!
|
Outstanding and congratulations!!! :tiphat:

Started my Nexus 7 tablet install last night. With the cubby lid removed and the tablet wrapped in a Bobj case, it fits almost 100 percent perfect. Takes up a lit of the extra gaps and space in the cubby. I am doing some research on Neo mags right now to hold it in place and make it easily removable.

Nice build dude!

Thank you. I really need to update with pictures, but for some reason, the site isn't allowing me to add any pics to albums :/

Thanks, Jason. Love the refresh on your car, just another clean job that is going to make the Varis Arising 2 kit much more popular and sought after.
Took a little time yesterday to pull apart my Accuair system. Got everything realigned and the new tank placed in. Just have to seal up some fittings and plug all the harnesses back into the ECU. It looks super slick with a powdercoated tank. I should have done this a year ago lol. |

So I decided this past weekend to try and utilize some leftover 15mm Ichiba version 2 spacers. my Normal offset is a et 25 on a 20x10. this would make it a 20x10 et 10. I began with the driver's side and slowly aired the car down. it just clears most of the inner fender lip of the seibon fenders. Only slightly pushing the fender out a bit, near the front area where the fender, meets the front bumper.
Should be easily fixed with a dremel and some rotary blades. Last night I trimmed the inner lip on the driver's fender. It was successful. I was ballsy and did this without removing the wheel (since my buddy had my torque wrench). Tonight I am going to remove the wheel and torque the spacer down within specs. I'll attack the fender a bit more to ensure there is no possibility of it catching on any portion of the fender. Then, I'll hit the passenger side and call it a day. HIN is having Hot Import Days Seattle this weekend. So, a good majority of the week will be spent on final car prep for the show :) |
I can't wait to see the results!
|
Fenders have been trimmed and I applied some clear last night to seal up the edges. I'll torque everything to spec tonight and take it on a little test drive to make sure everything is seated properly.
|
Spoke with Jon @ Z1 this week regarding the Tomei expreme Ti exhaust system. He let me know that there would be 6 full systems in on Friday. Today I manned up and ordered one lol.
|
Your build keeps getting better. You're going to be unstoppable!

Well Hot Import Daze was a bust for me this year. Same Liberty Walk GTR took 1st, another GTR (stockish) took 2nd, and my buddy Frank's 350Z took 3rd. I was a little disappointed, but I'm glad my teammate shined in 3rd.
This event seemed very biased to a paint company that is here in the PNW. I don't think I will do another HIN event, left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Next stop, Import Face Off in 2 weeks! |
It sucks arse when a car places in front of you when it's clearly inferior. Very frustrating
|
It's difficult to beat a Liberty Bunny/Rocket Walk GTR. FWIW, your car looks stellar in the Instagram pics you posted.
|
Looks so killer man! I wish there was more to liberty walk and rocketbunny. They are floating around like flies everywhere in the world currently.

Shows will always be determined on one set thing.... What the judges like that day. Keep em high brother:tup: She's a very well built thought:driving: |
Can't compare to the cookie cutter LB GTR...but the OEM GTR with some engine mods taking 2nd....that is frustrating.
My car is a much more complete build this season, compared to last year. Hell, there were nicer 350's, Skyline's, and GTR's that should have beat me last year. But it is all gravy. Got IFO in 2 weeks. Didn't place last year, so fingers crossed this time through! |
Finally received the beautiful Tomei Expreme TI exhaust system on Saturday. Quickly got dressed and headed over to the base to get her on the lift.
After removing the FI exhaust, the tomei went on like sipping a glass of water. Super simple to install. The design and welds are amazing. It's hard to believe the system is as friendly on the wallet as it is designed. One of the nicest systems I have had the chance to be up close and personal with. The sound is amaze tits with the FI LTH. It's very loud and throaty. Makes the Z sounds like a full fledged racecar. You can keep it decently low with some practice on the throttle, but in all honesty....you wanna run this sucker WOT. Definitely not a setup for the faint of heart! I couldn't be happier with it and I sold my FI exhaust to a buddy the same day. Next stop on my build will be the Synergy Composites ported lower manifold. My friend Jereme received our core back and installed his yesterday. Sending his out for porting this week, which will then be on its way back to me. Then I'll be down to Intec again for another tune. Still in the NA hunt for 350rwhp. I've also been shopping seats over the past few days. Still have my heart pretty set on Status Spa, but I've also been looking at the GTX fixed back from Status. |
I want to see a vid of that exhaust :yum:

Yesterday, she won Best 2nd place Z or G at Import Face Off. I think this is one of the more challenging events to win a trophy at. They use 1 judge and he travels the country, seeing the best of the best. Didn't place last year and did this year.
Ordered another set of goodies from Evo-R. Went with their front canards for the amuse front bumper. I've been eyeing them for awhile and pulled the trigger on Saturday. |
|
For the 3rd Driftcon event in a row, I was awarded the People's Chocie award, the second highest award offered.
This weekend, i'll be installing my new freshly ported Lower Intake Manifold done by Shawn at Synergy Composites. should be arriving within the week! |
Man if you came 2nd.....??!!!?? Wtf did the 1st place car look like:ugh2:
|
1st place went to my buddy Frank who owns a bagged 350Z. It is a really sick car. Between his 350 and my buddy Travis' bagged G35, we are always in constant competition with one another. We all belong to PNW_INC and are on the same show car team Legacy_Ohana lol.
|
ForumFest 2015 is approaching this Saturday and Sunday I'll be breaking the car down with my buddy jereme to do the lower intake manifold from Synergy.
Got an alignment scheduled for this Friday to fix my toe issue on the passenger front corner. hopefully it all works out. |
ForumFest 2015 is a wrap! It was a huge one for me and a first for my car. I was awarded 1st Place Best Nissan/Datsun. I did not expect that one at all!
Next stop: StanceWars 2015. This week, the #Top100 are notified of their selection. Making the top100 is a major accomplishment alone. Fingers crossed on this one! |

wow amazing ride....went through the whole thread....did I even see a red oil dipstick? Lol where do you get that?
Amazing ride!!! |
Nice update!! The Tomei exhaust does have great construction. Will be interested to hear your review of it in the coming months. Congrats on the trophy!!!

You'll get top 100. I'm sure of it! |
I actually custom painted the dipstick and the cover for the washed fluid. They were quick and easy to do. Just a few coats and some clear.
The Tomei system is quite amazing. Makes the Z sound like a monstrous race car with the headers. I've always been against super loud systems, but I've definitely changed my mind. The build quality is flawless and the welds are on point! I appreciate all the comments from you guys. It's great to have support within the community! |
Glad to hear that!! There is most certainly a difference between sound quality and volume. It's good to hear that it's a pleasing sound!! :driving:
