I like the front bumper, minus the fog lights:icon14: and the side skirts I have literally 30 pics to look at.... Most r pretty tough to make in real world without spending $100,000:roflpuke2: I will take what is realistically able to make. Once i have the bumper 50% I'll post pics of it. Side skirts...... I'll post when they r 100% done:ugh2: |
I like the front to, minus the fogs

I know wtf is that right:icon14: That's the first 2 templates for the CF going inside the mouth of bumper. As simple as they look...... They were not easy to shape :roflpuke2: |

On another note, I showed a few photos of your Z to my colleagues, they were  ing:tup: |
that llooks INCREDIBLE! I like the way you took the extreme renderring and made it more realistic. Like a design and engineering department working in tandem should!
When you finish those lights you should use some 3m Di-noc to tie in the carbon in the front! :) |

Update on the mods..... A few more weeks and it should be good to go. I know it looks very red but the carbon fiber looks more like the darker section, is in person is almost a perfect colour match to the 40th. |
Looking good,

The cheater lip Chop cut & rebuild.:nutswinger: |
Nice so you ended up getting it in cf

Yes sir! I came across a deal I couldn't resist for a brand new SR lip in CF. I've already.spend many dollars with 99.9% of that wastes due to learning experience... The CF is what im.going for and the SR lip is what i need to chop cut and modify..... That will give me the results im hoping for minus the major mold costs...... Sometimes it is best to cheat a touch:tup: |
So now im thinkin of scraping the idea of the bumper.....

There's a lot to modify with the bumper, crash bar foam and reinforcement to hold the carbon fiber..... I guess what im saying is that i really want to drive my car soon and this could take another month or so to complete on my car. As of now im working it on the black bumper i got from MarcusZ. I miss driving her:driving::roflpuke2: |
You can always finish this later if you have space for it
|
:iagree: keep plugging away at it over time if it is a spare bumper anyway. I wouldn't rush it. keep driving your z as is for this year.

I guess we'll see come the new season;) |
The front bumper mold is finally complete:tup:
Now I would post pics, however this is not your typical mold:rolleyes: Its actually made of aluminum:icon14: tomorrow that aluminum will turn to the black/red carbon fiber;) If all works out, which im 99.9213% it should....... I will post pics, but off the bumper..... once I work out the brackets... I will post final look:tiphat: |
OMG! :excited:
this is the best news I have heard in a while  :tiphat: |
I almost gave up on the whole custom bumper project:icon14:
But i stuck to her thanks to a few of you members;). Thursday it should be 100% done with Saturday 100% transferred to my Z:tup: |
Good job! Can't wait to see it.
