Hmmm..... Good question??
Im gonna double check im thinkin those are my dog's hair.....

......And no, He's never been in my Z. Must have.come.off my.clothing.

Luciano13 02-05-2014 03:36 PM

so lately I've been thinking and talking with friends and forum members....
I'm not that happy with what you can buy for body kits for our Z...
in the next 2 month I will be making custom molds of front, rear, sides, and yes even the rear quarter panel:icon14:
come spring im hoping to have a full custom body kit which will have the rear quarter panel incorporated in the kit, for the first time I think??? I've never seen a modded quarter before. (wide fender flares don't count)
once it begins, I will be working with a master mold maker and a carbon fiber master. I will post all updates, good or bad, keeps or fail.

enough is enough...
Its time for new kits for our beautiful 370z!!!:tiphat:

:tiphat: for going the extra mile!

Luciano13 02-05-2014 06:04 PM

^^^ in all fairness Mike.....
Unless i get installed results....
That extra mile may turn to 7 or 100 miles :driving:
Nevertheless. I feel good about that extra mile. My Z
May get destroyed making the molds.... Hopefully the gel coat with wax, and mold release cleaner works:ugh2:

And don't worry Zefualter..... I knew you would reply before Alcheng:roflpuke2:

Are you starting with clay? This is pretty exciting!

Luciano13 02-12-2014 08:26 AM

Im not sure if im going with clay or hard foam...
Right now im staring at it coming up with animated concepts... By the weekend i should have the image i want and start the forming.
Fingers crossed:tup:

I will be placing vinyl wrap over the bumper, just in case the first one doesn't work out, or i don't like it. Easier to clean off & start over.

laser cut. first time using it..... not 100% straight, but 99.9213%
I did post a pic of the bumper but then deleted it.....
I think final show is more appropriate:stirthepot:

It looks awesome so far;)

no worries just curious I have operated a metal plasma cutter aka laser cutter both manual and automated they are cool

I like seeing that you are progressing with this project though :tiphat:

Luciano13 02-15-2014 05:42 PM

What they had was something that looked like an impact gun, got really hot, and had a point that cut. no actual laser beams shot out from across the room lol

any flame? or was it just a piece of metal that gets hot?

EDIT: I googled it, found the smaller lighter duty cutters  looks cool :tiphat:

Luciano13 02-15-2014 05:47 PM

no flames. just a hot pointed tip. I mean really FN hot. It went red.

I thought for sure when they said laser, and I saw that tip get hot....
lasers were going to fly around the room and Alcheng was going to start shooting back from behind the wall:roflpuke2:

haha I wish! even the big automated ones I operated, pre-trade job, didn't have laser beams or anything super cool! it was just a small blue arc the cut it and most of the time there was lots of sparks with the thicker material! the thin stuff had minimum sparks and more arc could be seen.

Luciano13 02-20-2014 01:32 PM

So im thinking im gonna cheat a little on this custom project idea
I may get a CF aftermarket front lip that I've had my eye on, and modify that to my liking;)

I'll still make the custom side skirts. Those are so much easier to do:tup:
The front lip is in the molding stage but boy oh boy is it ever complex making that
