You're changing the entire dynamics of the exhaust flow vs stock cats.
Test pipes = more fuel needed.
Also u will gain lots of power vs most likely losing power.(which was losing power after.my installs)

Believe it or not, straight/test pipes actually get better gas mileage than cats/HFCs assuming you drive the car exactly the same with both setups.

LTH would not be worth it for me. They are pretty expensive & not easy to install.
I do plan next year or so to go boost. At least that's the plan for now, for the future;)

Boosting these cars is not a fun exercise*. Don't do it unless you are prepared to deal with the possibility of blowing the motor (replacement ~13k installed for a long block + necessary accessories iirc but it has been a while since I checked).

Don't get me wrong, they're a blast to drive but these cars have all sorts of issues once you boost them. Don't just factor in the cost of the turbo/SC kit, make sure you factor in install, and all supporting mods like:
-Oil cooler/supplemental oil cooler
-Upgraded Diff (you will need it)
-Bigger tires
-Better brake pads and upgraded rotors (pads 100%, rotors you can live without assuming you have the sport kit).
-Gauges (not cheap at all)
-New clutch/flywheel setup with braided stainless lines and upgraded fluid. You will eat your stock clutch alive - you will not hold the top of your power band. This is even worse on automatic cars.
...and that's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.

Of the 12 months of 2014, I had my car in my possession for 4 of those. After the dust settled, the car still "ice skates" on hard launches and feels widly unsafe under WoT.
*exception to all of this is if you're doing your own work or own a shop yourself.

Edit: The other thing I should mention is that when you boost these cars, they stop behaving like the Z34 is supposed to behave. They don't feel as "sticky" as they should - think "LS swapped Miata" only not as funny.

Luciano13 02-25-2015 03:48 PM

I hear what you're saying. Boosted is a love or hate thing with our cars. Some guys have told me they swear by it, while others say to stay away.

Im aware of all the upgrades necessary to go boosted. That's y i went with 12" rears so future wise, that's at least one step done.

Also if i do go boosted..... I wouldn't max out the hp. More to say i have it and Oh YA..... LETS TAKE IT TO THE TRACK:roflpuke2:

Right now the plan is 285/35/19 front(slight stretch) & 345/30/19 on the rear.
I will however be holding off the tires until the WB kit is 100% complete.

LostSol 02-26-2015 03:12 PM

Oh thank god. Wide wheels for wide tires. APPROVED.

Latest purchase from Bo @ BulletProof automotive:tup:
http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1426251330

Plans are to work the over fenders in and possibly close up the big side vent.
(we'll see once it arrives in a few month)

Luciano13 03-13-2015 08:02 AM

So that being said....
My front bumper will be for sale, or i may just sell the Seibon SR CF lip(brand new) and the Nismo Japan front nose finisher separately.... That won't be till most likely May/July

That's the Weber Sport Japan Zenith Line. I think it will work perfect with the WB and also the V2 vented fenders.

Im going to see how it looks with the v2 fenders first. If they line up I'll maybe just put cf on the inside to close it.

FairladyZ10PG 03-13-2015 11:25 AM

I think Weber will look very good with the 40th color

You'll probably be the first one to have this kit

Congrats on your purchase, can't wait to see it done

Finally. I was waiting for someone around here to purchase that front bumper. It's going to look insane Lee! Good choice!

Edit- the big side vent is almost perfect placement for the Boosted Performance BOV...
