Monday the offsets will be determined..... We're looking at around -50:rolleyes:

Let me know before ordering as thats slightly overkill with normal 10'-12" width wheels

I need to measure up everything for final offsets. With the style of wheel i got, i could go -50 on 12" but im not sure if i want crazy camber. Most likely I will play it safe with offsets and keep it around -10/-25

Then we get cutting

Yeah second option seems reasonable, just wait we will be posting pics of our shop car done its in paint now and see the wheels and offsets if you like can share the offsets

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

40th_z 01-19-2015 03:46 PM

nooo! from a fellow 40th owner. but at the end of day its your car :)

zefaulter 01-19-2015 03:49 PM

Why would you spend the money on repaint? If you go quality work, that's boost $$$...

ufoz8mycow 01-19-2015 04:02 PM

I'm not attached to the 40th color since I don't have one so I say go for it on the British Racing Green... I might be biased though as I've had two different cars sport that color over the years. Also haven't really seen any nice looking Z34s in green so far.

YzGyz 01-19-2015 04:51 PM

I kind of like that green. But, boost is nice.

Luciano13 01-19-2015 06:24 PM

Btw.... It would "ONLY" be a wrap.... I would never paint over the original 40th paint:tup:

zefaulter 01-19-2015 06:37 PM

If it's a wrap, go for it

zefaulter 01-19-2015 06:40 PM

Why not plastidip? It's cheaper and will look better too

YzGyz 01-19-2015 07:27 PM

I'm NOT a wrap fan. It looks ok but for the $$, you can almost get paint. If that's the case, leave her alone.. =) I think like you. I saved all my oem Nismo parts as I swap things out. I now have a crap ton of stuff everywhere in the house..

This is 100% true:roflpuke2:

Maintaining the wrap is difficult as per my experience unless you use the car hardly and the new look feel goes very quickly.

Got a 40th as well getting moonbeam kit installed now was thinking of changing the colour but in the last moment dropped the idea and just got the body kit pieces painted, as thought of keeping same colour just because of the anniversary edition.

carlitos_370z 01-20-2015 05:48 AM

if is wrap hell yeah!!!!!

zefaulter 01-20-2015 07:56 AM

I still think dipping will be cheaper and looks way better than any wrap I've seen

I have to disagree.... Plasti dip doesn't have many options....
This was my old car I wrapped. U can't get that in a Plasti dip.

I've seen "colour changing" plastic-dip, but the cars always look textures, very bad orange peel. :ugh2:

Luciano13 01-20-2015 11:52 AM

On another note....
I finalized the offsets and the wheels are now in production.
Went nice and clean with 19x10" -7 & 19x12" -7. (4"/6")

zefaulter 01-20-2015 11:59 AM

Nice... We need photos ASAP ;)

TerribleONE 01-20-2015 12:08 PM

I absolutely hated my wrap. From the upkeep, to shrinkage and bubbling. I will definitely not be wrapping a car again.

I liked the color, it just didn't hold up well enough. it looked good for about 6 months and then went downhill quick.

Which wheels you went with, we have got similar kits on similar car :)

Are you sure with the Offsets? seems little less then required or at least what I got from Ravspec. Check with Mark at Ravspec he has done lots of work in figuring our right offsets for lowered Z with Moonbeam

What size of wheel and offsets u have? These are -51mm from my 10.5 +25. That's quite a big difference....

Luciano13 01-22-2015 11:05 AM

Plus im going full functional tire, meaning full size, not stretched. I talked with the offset guru at AG Forged and this is what he came up with to have "full size" tires with minimum camber:tup:

ZeroZeta 01-22-2015 11:51 AM

Thank you for considering function as well as form. ha ha Can't wait to see progress on the build.
