New Dyno Results

Well finally after having my new Momentum Headers put on I got her tuned again today at Forged Performance. As always it's a busy place so I'm glad the crew could slide me in. Nothing like seeing so many wonderful builds goings on in one place. Love being there.

For a quick run down before I post the dyno sheet. The first time I had my car tuned I had Stillen G3, GTM test pipes, and Greddy TI-C exhaust (silencer removed). Take note that on Forged dyno (dyno dynamics) it reads lower than most dynos. I'll give a reference shortly. Anyways the first tune I put down 292whp with the above mods. Then days later I put 310whp on Z1 Motorsports dyno (dyno jet). So that gives you a reference of the difference.

Well today after installing Momentum Headers and retune we put down 316whp. So that's 24whp since the last tune. So that's a great gain from headers alone. Definitely the best headers on the market and the price makes it that much more pleasent. I have a good feeling that on Z1's dyno it will put down 330whp+. This is about the only mod I've ever done that I've actually felt the power increase.

You have to like it when you can notice the power increase

Dyno Dynamics = "heart breaker" dyno. Lol. No doubt SPOHN you would be around 330+whp on Dyno Jet. I'm having my momentum headers and test pipes installed at Uprev here in Austin TX next week. I'll also post dyno results. I believe they use a dyno jet.

Did you gain or lose any TQ?

Seems to be close to the same. Going to Z1 Saturday and put it on Dyno Jet.

I also just removed the inner door skin along with the window motor. There's a good bit of weight in there. This baby is getting lighter everday. I'm going to grind a lot of the inner door panel out to get more.

They still stay stationary. I haven't removed the window track and cable/ pulley system.

How are you going to lower and raise it?

Mike 12-14-2012 08:14 AM

probably by hand. Sh0velman, check out my journal to see how I did it.

Chris' way, leaving the cables and pulley is probably the best compromise for dual use. Mine are either in for transport/storage, or out for driving.
