Awesome. Wish we had a track like that around here... we have a couple nice (flat) indoor ones but nothing like that. I've always wanted to learn to drive a shifter kart and rent one for Mid-Ohio or Grattan.

^ cool, looks like mine. you'll need to remind everyone to not lean on your doors now!

also, might want to get something to tack onto the end to create a larger pull. I used just a variety of stuff sitting around the garage to clamp around the metal ball. Eg help you can get out of the car in 3-4 seconds exit drill

you should rotate them so that they all point the same relative direction when in the normal operating range to make them easier to see with a quick glance.

Both wide bands should be next to one another.

Nah. Left bank, right bank. The wide bands are just a little smaller so being on the ends makes it more uniformed.

Nice! Hey - back on the door stuff - did you just remove the lock pull-cable, so that the lock can only be turned with the key from the outside? I pulled out the lock module on one of mine and tried to look for a way to just disable the lock completely, but nothing seemed obvious. The paranoid side of me wonders if in some kind of jarring track condition the lock could engage itself and then you have no easy way to open it from the inside.
