Hi guys! sooo i figured i been on this site about a year and have owned my Z almost exactly for one year sooo i guess it's time for a journal thread.



i will be posting pics once i get them transfered from my old iPhone.

i purchased my Z last fathers day weekend (6/13/2011) in LA from the original owner with 1800 miles on it. flew down there handed him a check and drove it straight home 1200 miles back to Pittsburgh PA. before leaving i hit up best buy and got a very nice radar detector lol this $250 purchase saved my *** atleast 5-7 times on the long drive home.



only after about 2 weeks of owning my Z the mod bug bit and i decided that the Z needed to sound more like a sports car. it seemed too tame for my taste. i hit up Tony of F.I. and oprdered my exhaust in early July '11. got my exhaust on Oct 1st '11 i think and installed it the same day. best investment so far. the quality is amazing and the sound is unreal. best part of my day is starting up my car going to and from work. i now have just under 6K miles on the exhaust. yes i DD this car.



only other mod i have done recently is adding my the370z.com & Z1 stickers to the small windows on the driver and passenger side. also i swapped out my stock tires for new Michellin Pilot Super Sports. so far i got about 500 miles on them and a few 1/4 mile runs and i love them so far.



best 1/4 time so far was 13.39 @ 105.25 on 6/15/2012

i'm gonna try and use wifi and email all my old pics tonite but if that doesnt work i do believe i transfered them all onto my laptop before i deactivated it.

As far as what other mods you can do, have you thought about getting a CAI? I know you want to get a TT set up, but you can get one until you do. I bought my G3's used for like $300. You could always try to find a used set and then sell it when you get your TT kit without losing too much money on it.

i am trying to go TT if my wallet allows it and i have been searching threads for used CAI but most wont give up the windshield washer fluid reloction kit/fluid tank for it so thats more stuff i'd have to but. i'm glad i waited though since i saw Z1 has the new nismo r-tune intakes and you dont have to cut a bunch out like most people have to for the G3's

Not too familiar with how the TT piping goes, but wouldn't it be routed similar to the G3's and also require you to do some cutting?

i dont believe they take the same path as the G3's since the g3's go around and in front of the padded piece behind the bumper

I know I know lol I just never got around to it til now. I'm a bit behind lol. I put up a decent amount of pics last night. I still have to post my 1/4 mile slips from 2 weeks ago but I'm waiting since I'm goin to the drag strip in Ohio tomorrow.

I'm in ambridge it's like 12 miles NW of the city.

If u have any interest in hittin the drag strip tomorrow I'm going after work to a test and tune at Quaker city Motorsports complex in Salem Ohio. Gates open at 6 and racing starts at 7. I'm gonna post this info and a link to the website in my. PA thread tomorrow morning.

I know where you're at. Had an uncle that lived up in that area years ago. No makie drag strippie. This is my weekend to work. And I'm on night shift. :icon14: So, what is all your plans for this Z? :stirthepot:
