That's a good time there. Looks like the Camaro really fvcked up his launch. I've never directly ran against one, but I was regularly getting better times than two of them when I went last summer.

Sometimes havin a good car ain't nothing with a bad driver lol

hey guys!

ok it's that time of the month again. this sunday is another flashlight drags event down in Waynesburg PA at the Greene County Airport. note that these are 1/8th mile drags due to runway length and safety reasons. regardless still fun.

Flashlight Drags

Sunday June 24th
Greene County Airport
Gates open at 12 noon
Racing 2-6pm
i think it's $25 to race all day

these events are alot of fun. staging doesnt take long and you can get alot of runs in. i usually end up doing the "pink slip" races where 8 "pink slips" are randomly given out to people in each class and you can battle all day to get a slip and at about 5:30 they race the 8 slip holders down to a champion for a nice handmade trophy of old auto parts.

i will def be there. also my one friend is proabably coming with a hyundai genesis. also talking to my friend with a 350 to see if he can make it

last time i went there were almost 300 cars running!!!
also there were 4 350Z's one of which was TT and ran down a GT-R....once lol
i think he cranked his boost to do it and blew something lol

if any of you guys are interested let me know. we can all meet up there or roll together depending on where you are coming from. if anyone goes we can all set up together and if thats the case i can bring my 10x10 pop up tent to give us some shade since there is no tress or anything around the air strip. if anyone wants more info or talk more just post in here or PM me.

Finally someone in PA close to me lol and not I'm not forgetting about Rusty either lol

ok soooo i havent posted in this in a long time. actually to be honest i forgot i had it.

since my last posts i havent done much besides put alot of miles and some 1/4 mile runs on the Z

mod wise i recently added my Akuma long tube prototype intakes. also along with the intakes they provided a "light" tune which changed the MAF tables to adjust for the larger diameter intake tubes. performance wise it feels like it gained a decent bit.

maybe once spring rolls around i'm gonna go put it on a dyno. i'd love to get a full tune but not paying $600 for what should cost way less. i get the $100 a hour for dyno time but cmon $600 for that and a tune? lol

You can always rent a dyno and tune it yourself :stirthepot:

dont tempt me lol from what i understand only thing that tuners truly change is the a/f ratio and possibly the throttle control. regardless i plan on rented a dyno for an hour (3 pulls) and it'll be like $80-100 which im fine with lol

Well you won't get the max power out of your car until it's fully tuned. IIRC UpRev can be used to tune the 7AT too as well as some help with cooling.

yea you can tune the tranny. i actually would like someone to work on that and get my shifts/line pressure tuned for better performance.

if some place cuts me a deal and doesnt make me pay for the license which i already have then i'd do it. half of that 600 is them charging you for the license. most places i called said still 600 even with my license sooo eff that haha

Well then you're probably just gonna be stuck where you are. You should just get it tuned, unmarry your current license, and then sell it to someone else.

i like having my own. if any tuner would do it for like $300 which is their 600 minus the 300 license fee then yea i'd be down to get it and travel.

i actually might be calling Akuma. john said he would hook me up with a tune for a price i won't say if i drive out to their place in jersey.
