@ blades, yeah that's what I'm hoping to be able to do.
@ Jason, thanks man me too haha. I have had it for a year and I can't count how many compliments I've gotten on the exhaust alone. It sounds so mean! Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new-fangled science stuff |
Do you have spacers on your wheels I looked threw your build and didetn see anything about it but your wheels look so flush with your fenders
|
Nope, no spacers. They're not flush, I'll have to get a better pic of them from the side of the car so you can see better. I don't really feel like spending money on spacers when I plan on getting wheels with aggressive offsets, maybe +12/+15 or so.

I agree with you It just looked very flush with the fender and I've never seen stock rays look like that but ya just the angle more than likely
|
That's probably it. I have just the base 18's, you can look in my Random album and see a pic that I posted of my headlights next to the headlights of a MB 370, and you can see the wheels pretty well there.

So I shouldn't be allowed to have my phone when I'm in bed and I can't sleep, because I tend to start browsing things on Amazon. Installing the Swift springs gave me the mod bug all over again after I had worked so hard to settle down and not spend money for the time being. I bought a smoked Evo-R foglight off of a member here, and a 1000w 12" Alpine R DVC 4ohm sub off of Amazon for a pretty good price. I've got a Kicker 400w amp, so I should be able to wire it to run at ~900w at 2ohms. Can't wait to get them in!
My only concern is that the foglight is gonna be kinda dim in the day time, I love super bright lights, and I've seen a few videos of the evo foglight and they weren't really all that bright. Plus my buddy just got one and again, it was alright. I want something that is the same intensity as the brake lights when you hit them. I just saw a pic on Simota's journal of the Tamon foglight, that thing is pure sex. I might have to go check it out if it works with stock bumpers. It looks like things are coming along nicely. I love the exhaust setup, that's the route I'm leaning towards. Can't wait to see some wheels on your beast. :)

Haha thanks bro, "slow and steady" seems to be my motto when it comes to modding. My wife and I are not poor at all, but we don't have $4000 extra every month to put into our cars, so I do a lot of side jobs to get mod money, anything from home remodeling to headlight restoration to mod installs, you name it and I know at least a little about it. This last month and a half has been decent, I've done 3 sets of headlights, a Stillen intake install on a friend's 370, some repairs on my neighbors house and boat, and a few other things. We'll see what happens with the wheels, I still have a couple options. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait...

There's nothing wrong with taking your time. That's what I'll have to do.
Have you decided on which wheels? |
Yes I have! Say hello to the beautiful Avant Garde M368...

Well, here's my next update. I got a smoked Evo-R fog light from WillClemenson who's a member on the forum, and an Alpine Type R 12" sub off of Amazon.
I like the fog light, but it's pretty dim for my tastes. I'm trying to figure out of there's a way to up the brightness of the LED's without burning them out. Any suggestions? The sub is amazing. Holy crap is it loud and crisp and clean. Plus it has a better range than my crappy old Xplode sub did. Here's a few pics of the installs :) Old: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ps3d56542d.jpg New: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...psd27cb6b5.jpg All done: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ps97ac02c9.jpg Old vs new: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ps74cbbac1.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...psb0d92b41.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...ps8f85aa30.jpg Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new-fangled science stuff |
