So I was quoted by a body shop in my area that paints and installs body kits...So to install and paint my full Amuse body kit front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, wing and brake light, and my aftermarket fenders....I was quoted $3k for EVERYTHING. He said thats the high end...it could be less depending how much fitment issues are...

Does this sound about right?

Mr&Mrs 02-26-2013 03:46 PM

Sounds like a deal to me, only because I know how much of a PITA the fenders can be. 1200.00-1700.00 just for paint on those parts.

Quick370z 02-26-2013 04:17 PM

ya thats like a deal for sure, kit looks nice though, esp the wing.

Jasonle 02-26-2013 05:13 PM

thanks guys! ima definitely bring it to them

Just bought the Full Amuse Body Kit(shineauto)!!! I would like to thank Lloyd(tower74) for this. Awesome dude from kanasa city with a bad *** New 2013 Nismo! Thank you.

now I'm waiting to get the Evor side mirrors and $$$$$ to paint and install all these goodies! I just can't find a good reliable body shop in St. Louis though..:(

I'm also suppose to be getting a car today...I'll keep you guys posted what that will be ;)

I just seen this but not a problem at all. Like I told you I bought, it sat for a year on the shelf and then traded in the old Z for the Nismo. Trust me I was happy to get it out my hair, well what I have left. Also, glad to see you are about to get it installed. Would love to see it when it's finished.

Jasonle 03-03-2013 01:08 AM

thanks AGAIN Lloyd for the kit. I'm super excited! Hopefully we can all have one big meet together with the kc group and stl group this summer... That Branson z meet seems cool... but I'm going out of the country on vacation. that weekend.

Btw I love that vis carbon fiber hood! That will look bad *** with that nismo. You should get them vented fenders too

Well the body is going have to wait. I'm saving my money right now to buy the 4.2 engine upgrade. I'm hoping to have it on order by November of this year and have it installed by the beginning of 2014. Then the TWINS....1000hp here I come!!! Well at least 700:tiphat:

actually the body shop said the fenders were giving them trouble more then the body kit itself.. did you order yours from areojacket? I got mine from uam couple years ago. I love the fenders.

RJ89 03-22-2013 09:25 PM

Where did you get your fenders at by chance? Also this project looks amazing, can't wait to do all this myself! :tiphat:

Jasonle 03-22-2013 09:28 PM

I bought it from a vendor UAM on here couple years ago. But areojacket sells these fenders. also vendors flymotorsport (I think that's how you spell it) and carbon signal sell vented fenders.

sfearl1 03-23-2013 07:39 AM

Looking great.!

GaleForce 03-23-2013 08:24 AM

Looking great.

I would recommend getting the optional extenders for the race ramps. Works perfectly with my car, no rubbing the Mines lip and easy as pie to drive up.

I got the RR-XT 2 is this what your talking about? it came in 2 pieces..I can remove these after the car is on the ramp allowing me to go from the side.

GaleForce 03-23-2013 10:11 AM

You might be ok with those because they are longer. I went with the 56" version because shipping to Canada for the 67" version was insane, I was also worried about my front lip clearing the ramp.

This is the extender I am talking about, Race Ramps Xtenders - RR-XT Lowered Car Ramps. works like a charm.

I would try your set up first. If the front of the car clears the ramps, you're golden. If it looks like the bumper will scrap, then buy the extenders and you should be ok.

Jasonle 03-23-2013 10:20 AM

I've always had my car get oil changed at the dealership.. but with this body kit and car being lowered on Coilovers...I went ahead and bought these ramps to start changing my own oil. Hopefully the ones I got work! Thanks for the heads up on the extenders

I also bought a curb ramp for the end of my driveway. I scrape all the time in the front on stock height and no body kit. hopefully this curb ramp works too

XiP 03-23-2013 10:31 AM

hey looking good man!
we're almost twins lol :D

i haven't gotten an oil change yet since i got my body kit and coilovers put on, but i'm thinking about doing it myself as well since i'm in the same boat as you

subbing to see how the ramps go for ya then i might follow suit

Mr&Mrs 03-23-2013 10:33 AM

Can you post a link to the curb ramp?

I've never change my oil before... this will be good for me to learn. I won't need to change the oil for another 2500 miles.. but when I do I'll let you how it goes lol. my mom lives in Dallas.. maybe one summer I'll drive the z down there and go to one of the Dallas z meets.

J and K Curb Ramps Home Page

I bought these j and k ramps. these were cheaper $75 for a 4ft...I bought 2. I was recommended to get the bridjit curb ramps . I heard these were good too... but $350-$400 I can't spend on that. couple members on here have these bridjit ramps

here's link to bridjit

lol I've been waiting patiently! can't wait. Hopefully next week it comes home!

tower74 04-08-2013 11:35 PM

Damn. After seeing the pic's of the test fit, now I'm wishing I would of kept the kit. It is look awesome. At the same time when are you going to FI this bad girl? GTM twin kit is cheap! Not like I'm trying to talk you into buying this kit to lower the price and get us to tier 3:tup:

Jasonle 04-09-2013 08:40 AM

lol. I should be getting the car back this week. They had to do other things that I wanted done. I need to save up for 2 turbos now... the Z and the supra :) But got make the wife happy with one little kid first before anything else.

KaienZ34 04-09-2013 10:15 AM

Nice build, sub'd....

boarderbob 04-09-2013 10:30 AM

Very slick car. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

I recently got that same ramp system (Race Ramps RR-XT-2), and they work very well. They're sturdy, and have the clearance I need. However, I can't be certain what your clearance will be with the body kit and, eventually, the lowered stance. Hopefully, it'll still work. The oil change should be a breeze. Good luck.

Jasonle 04-09-2013 10:39 AM

Thats what im worried about.. Hopefully these ramps will work! If not maybe ill get the extender things to the ramp? Thanks for the input tho.
