UPDATE: Current Look....
http://images.us.viewbook.com/6e1f5a...fb46_large.jpg http://images.us.viewbook.com/e8bf8b...f004_large.jpg My first thread! I'm just starting by posting some photos of my Z. only had it since June. http://images.us.viewbook.com/20ea80...b587_large.jpg One of my first photos of the Z shot with my DSLR, just weeks after purchase. I had just been driving on the highway and out of nowhere a rock smashed into the windshield with no one in front of me for probably a quarter mile and immediately cracked all the way to the top of the windshield (you can see it in front of my rearview mirror. It has since been replaced. http://images.us.viewbook.com/3417d5...8e2b_large.jpg Rear perspective before I did any mods. took me a minute to get the right angle with this one but it turned out good IMO. http://images.us.viewbook.com/d7cb43...d929_large.jpg smoked lights edited in Aperture. smooth fade towards the front & once again before any mods were done. This one was shot at f/2.8 on my D700 using the VR1 70-200mm 2..8 lens using a circular polarizer filter which is on the lens for almost all of my car shots to avoid reflections. http://images.us.viewbook.com/bb5440...8def_large.jpg Shot here in the Dallas area at the Monthly ZCOT meet. I didn't have my tripod so I pretty much had no option but to get the ground perspective for an un-blurry photo. Turned out though thank goodness cause the other 3 or 4 were blurry. http://images.us.viewbook.com/6e54ee...879d_large.jpg Took the Z out for the first photo shoot since blacking out some stuff (handles, emblems, side blinkers, & roof) and I really like this simple shot. as usual I've got my 70-200 on the D700 for this one. http://images.us.viewbook.com/6de000...d889_large.jpg There is a pretty distracting reflection on the bottom right and yes the car is very dirty, but I had no time to wash it... it was do or die as far as photography conditions; Seamed like the first overcast day we've had all summer here in North Dallas yet as soon as I get on location and set up clouds are gone and the sun is out........ grrrreaaaaaaaaaaaat! http://images.us.viewbook.com/21cb12...b2de_large.jpg This one really showcases the stuff I have blacked out so far, most notably the roof. Would have really liked some cloud cover here to avoid that shadow but they were gone and weren't coming back lol. http://images.us.viewbook.com/97c0cd...7af7_large.jpg Straight out of the steeeeeeeepest parking garage ever! aside from probably needing an alignment from leaving it parked like this for a moment the shot was worth it to me. let me know what you guys think. and by the way I love taking Pictures so if anyone in the Dallas area ever wants to take their cars out for photos just let me know. http://images.us.viewbook.com/902e9c...c5b8_large.jpg Well here we go guys, the sky was on my side with this one, and also this is the first shot in this series using a D90 with the sigma 30mm f1.4. Believe I had the aperture set to f/8 for this one. All of my images are shot in raw and generally post processed using Aperture 3. http://images.us.viewbook.com/2077cc...d55a_large.jpg Here is my first silhouette shot of my Z with more to come in the future. A friend mentioned it may have looked better with the lights on and the brake light as well (was probably right) but we'll never know. http://images.us.viewbook.com/37e018...fa43_large.jpg And last but not least to end this series of photos is an interior shot of the Z. This one was shot with a Nikon D90 using the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye at f/4 and I think 1/15th of a second shutter speed. I tried it from the center first but then settled on the upper left hand view mainly because I didn't have much light and held the camera steady on the top of the drivers seat. I looked like a retard in my parking garage sitting in the back of my Z with the trunk open but thats what it took. My (now neglected lol) 3KGT is also in this photo along with a slight glimpse of my chicks Synergy Green Camaro, and if you look you can see me in the rearview mirror.... all of which was unintentional. HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY, much more to come and thanks for looking!!!!! |
Nice picures! When I first saw your avatar, I thought it was one car photoshop and layered! haha

Thanks for the comments guys! I have a lot more to do to the Z of course. @boost I've been on your pages b4 serious stuff man, I'm sure we'll meet one day your not to far away from here. @hdskull thanks, that would be pretty tricky in photoshop. The most Extensive I've gotten with my editing is to change the background.

More photos!!
Here's a couple quick shots I took the day of the once yearly courtesy nissan meet hosted by the Z club of Texas. this one was at about 5:30am!! Washing it before I headed to the meet.
http://images.us.viewbook.com/9ca23e...18d6_large.jpg And this one is after the show on the drive home. Shot at 1/15th of a sec. on F/9 at 100 ISO. any slower and I was too blurry. this was the one shot out of 46 that looked OK and I brought a lot of extra shadow detail out using Aperture. http://images.us.viewbook.com/bcbead...e9e4_large.jpg |

How did you mount this?
My friend took it from the passenger side at 17mm on full frame. I had him hold it against the window at the base so it would move as little as possible against the door panel |
