If you look close I painted the area that goes under the cowl black so you don't see it and added new foam gasket on each side by the cowl like Nissan does.

No I had a set of 18's on the 20's would have robbed a little more power.

Thanks Will,I welded in some metal like the Nismo ones and Mike put on a satin gray powercoat, I like it allot.

kevr6 12-03-2011 08:08 AM

Frank, do you have any step by step pics of the strut bar creation?

No I just took a pic of a Nismo strut bar and kind of measured by eye where the struts should be and welded them in then ground it down and metal finished it and sent it to Mike for powder coating.

The only thing I messed up on is the Nismo struts are a little wider than the ones I installed.

The strut it self is 2 pieces of metal one on top of the other I just welded up the seam and ground it to fit.

Sweet Frank. Can't wait to see them on the car. I wish someone would make the rear spats but where they connect all the way across the rear section.

Baer383 12-31-2011 04:59 PM

kevr6 12-31-2011 05:08 PM

Looks good! I of course did not think you were going to paint it exactly the same as I did since we go to same meets all the time! This is a surprise!

I didn't' want to two tone it like that but it was a bitch to tape it up to have more white vs black ,plus I went with Stillen rocker vs Shine auto.

SPOHN 12-31-2011 05:33 PM

Looks great Frank. Can't wait to see it in person. How much lower is the lip in the middle? Can't wait to order mine I'm CF.

Dude my car is so low that I can't get it out of my driveway,I will have to raise it up to get it out.:ugh2:

The lip is as low as the bottom of the chin spoiler.

I don't have 3" of ground clearance :shakes head:

This sucks my car looks good and I have to repaint the rocker covers and can't drive it around,I wanted to raise it in the spring so I guess I will be doing it sooner than later.

Yea I know and it's coming. My eyes is on this kit. But I know of another company that's creating a new kit come spring. So I'm some what holding out for that.

It must be your wheel diameter. My gap above my tires seems smaller then yours. That's got to be it.

I have the same size wheel & tire you have, the gap above the tire is about .75 inch.

20x9.5 +17 255/30/20
20x11 +5 305/25/20

I have just short of .5 inch gap. Then maybe the Shine lip dimensions are truly different from the Sunline lip. Strange

When I put the lip on I kind of let it fall where it wanted to then adjusted it even from left to right and that's it.

I tried to push it up higher but like I said it kind of wanted to sit where it is.
it looks good it was a p.i.a. to put it on being it was very tight,it will be neat to see yours next to mine.

Have a good new year Kev:hello:
