Man I want to see pictures with the cage in and everything!

I'm going to guess a weight of 2964lbs.

Travis I bet that you are the only car out there with a rev matcher

Great following your build! I'll guess 3130 lbs with fuel and driver.

Okay, so I lied about no pics until paint is done ! Junior's prerogative considering all the time he's put in over the last few weeks... for anyone considering caging their Z in the future - let me just say that you get what you pay for ! junior is not cheap but his work is the best ! and now that he knows every square inch of the 370Z, he's got a baseline to work from.

Our general approach was to balance safety and weight, while complying with NASA, SCCA and other sanctioning body typical rules... yes, the door bars are meaty, but that's probably the only place where we may have slightly 'over invested' in metal... and it looks bad-*** !! the net result is very balanced IMO... and when you guys see how the door bars line up with the cage in the rear, you're going to sh-t a brick - it's beautiful work !

Also, I talked with junior today and he managed to move my seating position towards center... it's a shame we can't resell the setup we made for the seat ! i think it's going to be the perfect driving position for folks in the 6ft range

Why the forged sticker on the front? Anything special going on with the engine?

Three companies sponsor my car: Redline Motorsports, DDM, and Forged Performance. Sharif and Ryan have been invaluable in my build - providing coaching and advice on parts selection, design decisions etc for the last 6 months! I picked these three to work with b/c all three are just like most of us - they love to race, love to build cars

So far as the engine, for now, it is stock... just the usual bolt-ons and maybe some ECU tuning over next few months

Luv'n my Z 10-19-2009 08:08 PM

Did you get a custom dash or did junior manage to keep the old one and move it over

travisjb 10-19-2009 08:27 PM

philosophy in general is to re-use as much as possible from the stock car... the stock dash is great, so we re-used it... some custom stuff on center panel, including custom aluminum center piece and some switches, but that's it
