I'm not ordinarily this materialistic... they're just fvcking wheels... and yet... I am sooooooooo excited to get them and put them on my car :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:

Pictures to be posted once they are mounted... if I can contain myself :icon17:

azn370z 04-01-2011 05:03 PM

I think those wheels look better than the nismo too bad the offset isn't very good. If you use spacers you have to use version 1.

SmoothZ 04-01-2011 05:09 PM

Oh, look. A yellow-crested pteranodon!

Jordo! 04-01-2011 05:10 PM

^^^ Agreed! (No offence to the OEM Nismo guys). I was determined to ditch the "forked tongues", but getting wheels that would be, to me, a true upgrade (i.e., lighter, more aesthetically pleasing, not cost an arm, leg, and testicle) seemed beyond my humble means.

Found a GREAT deal on these! Cant wait to get them mounted!!!!

So.
Fvcking.
Excited.

(pathetic)

For OEM wheels, I really like these and would love to rock them on the Z. For once, Nissan did something right.

Jordo! 04-01-2011 05:49 PM

I like them much better than the weird OEM 19's --AND, they shed about 3 lbs off each corner

Next, some lighter AD08's... oooo... good times :excited:

christian370z 04-01-2011 05:52 PM

I wouldn't say the 19s are weird lol, I think they are one of the best looking OEM wheels around. Congrats on the new wheels! They will look great once you get them mounted on the car, the wheels and tire should give you a nice decrease in rotating mass.

Mr&Mrs 04-01-2011 05:54 PM

Cant wait for pics! Didnt take you long after that other thread we posted in to get some I see =) Congrats!

Highway 04-01-2011 06:24 PM

Stupid questions:

Where do I get a set?

Do they have different colors?

Don't get me wrong, I think they're cool looking, but I consider them more "unique" than "beautiful".

It's just an unusual looking wheel -- that is arguably a good thing, but I like my wheels to be a bit more traditional, I guess...

These are the "S-tune" Nismo wheels, and they are a bit different than the OEM Nismo ones (same width as the 19" Rays, a bit lighter, thicker spokes, painted Nismo logo rather than engraved). Attached pics below show how they differ (OEM vs S-tune, respectively).

You have to get these from the dealer -- there's another set on ebay right now for around 2 grand (I got these for less -- a sweet deal!!!!)

Pretty sure they only come in silver, but I suppose you could always get them painted any color you like.

ZCarMan 04-02-2011 01:23 PM

I'll be interested to see how they look when you have them mounted. They look nice out of the box though.

Jordo! 04-02-2011 02:49 PM

^^^ I'll post loads of pics :D

Jordo! 04-05-2011 02:08 PM

They should be here tomorrow or Thursday :woot:

Is the offset not the same as the factory 19's? Can you give more detail about the spacers. What do you mean Version 1?

Jordo! 04-05-2011 06:51 PM

I believe it's same offset as factory, which is fine to me.

I might experiment with wheel spacers down the road, but it's not a priority.

FL 4Motion 04-05-2011 10:29 PM

congrats man, nice pickup. I think those s tune wheels are pretty damn good looking.

Jordo! 04-06-2011 12:19 AM

:tiphat:

simota1 04-06-2011 10:57 AM

congrats on the wheels man nice looking wheels :D

Jordo! 04-06-2011 12:19 PM

Thanks! Unless I miss the UPS man, will have them today and will get them mounted tomorrow :D

Jordo! 04-06-2011 03:25 PM

They are here! :happydance:

Will be getting these mounted tomorrow afternoon -- pics to follow :excited:

Aside from looking nice, they shave 3+ lbs off of each corner too, so should result in improved responsiveness and braking as well

Waiz 04-06-2011 03:56 PM

Can't wait to see these mounted on the car.

Jordo! 04-06-2011 10:16 PM

Good timing too... just picked up a screw in the tread of one of my tires, so would need to have it dismounted for a patch anyway

Thanks for the well wishes, folks -- I appreciate it :tiphat:

Will get pics posted sometime tomorrow :happydance:

Waiz 04-06-2011 11:29 PM

I would say 10mm front spacer and 15-20mm rear is needed:

Those rear wheels are pretty deep dish -- didn't realize that until they were mounted.

Waiz 04-07-2011 03:34 PM

Nice!!

christian370z 04-07-2011 03:38 PM

You should be ashamed Jordo....Those look really good! I like the dish in the back a lot, they could use some spacers for sure though.

Jordo! 04-07-2011 03:43 PM

Thanks :tiphat:

It's the same offset as stock, so I'm fine with it.

If I come upon a good deal for a decent set, I'll probably snap them up :D

Mr&Mrs 04-07-2011 04:00 PM

:tiphat: Looks great! I cant make it to this months meeting have to work tomorrow, BUT you should still go check things out tell them I sent you. Also 5 dollar burrito at Moes on Bloomingdale after the meeting!

simota1 04-07-2011 04:35 PM

man those are beautiful jordo..... i wish i had a set like that... it just pops with the red

Highway 04-07-2011 04:42 PM

Oooh...I really like those.

Jordo! 04-07-2011 06:45 PM

Thanks, gents :tiphat:

My pics were a little over-exposed -- I'll try and get some better shots tomorrow. Possibly after giving a Zed a bath.

FL 4Motion 04-07-2011 07:02 PM

They look fantastic Jordo, really work well with the Red Z. congrats.

Jordo! 04-07-2011 10:19 PM

Thank you, kind sir :tiphat:

Say... do I need different lugs if I get spacers?

If so, I'll probably rock them as they are...

Boost_lee 04-07-2011 11:09 PM

Wow they look surprisingly good on there!

+1 on the spacers and you're good to go. I run stock lugs with my spacers, no change in the lug type needed

esfourteen 04-07-2011 11:21 PM

very nice, some spacers and a bit of a drop and it will look sweeeeeeeet. you can get the bolt on spacers that have built in lugs if you dont feel like installing the extended lugs.
