Looks fantastic. I have been toying with getting side blades and I think it's a  now. Looking forward to the NST Pulley dyno. Keep up the great work on your journal. SICK Z34 for sure.

370Z JT 01-11-2012 11:20 PM

Went to Specialty Z today and had Seb install the NST pulley set. Was interested to see if pullies made a difference at all. The NST thread had dynos, but for a 350Z.

Bought the NST pulley set for a very good price through a vendor WESELLCARPARTS, and pullies were shipped directly by NST in Texas. I was ticked that the pulleys came scratched up and even had a small chip. Talked to Seb@SZ and Mike@NST, and both said it will not affect the Z. So whatever, I went through with the install.

http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...er-install.jpg

There was a blip at 6.5K RPM which gave a false reading of TRQ, so please disregard the Peak Torque number (blue line).

Solid gains were made from 4.2K RPM, all the way to redline. AVG gains were about 6 whp/6wtq. At 6.2K RPM, and 7.1K RPM, gains were about 10whp/10wtq. Peak gain of +6 WHP and about +1 WTRQ.

Car seems to rev up easier. Besides that, can't really feel the small bump in power. I will see if my MPG imroves at all. All in all, for the money spent ($400 installed), not too bad.

370Z JT 01-11-2012 11:28 PM

I really think the M370 manifold is robbing me power up top. I'm going to take that off then get it re-dyno'd in February. Also think the Gemini is an inferior exhaust. Going to try either the FI exhaust or the new Motordyne exhaust.

370Z JT 01-14-2012 09:14 PM

Here are some NST VS OEM Nissan Weight comparisons to consider.

http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...-1-lb-5-oz.jpg

http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...-5-lb-2-oz.jpg

OEM: 5 lb 2 oz
NST: 1 lb 5 oz

Difference of: 3 lb 13 oz or 61 oz total

Just dropped off my MS1s at Wheelflip.com to get the lips & barrels anodized Bronze. Gonna take 3 to 4 weeks though as they are backed up on orders.

Motordyne E370 exhaust install and dyno on 2/24. Can't wait!

I didn't like the shape of the ducts from Mines. Varis air ducts looked good though.

370 JT, Did you happen to be at Diamond Jamboree Thursday night last week? Maybe it was a wednesday. Friend says he swore he saw my car there but I told him i wasn't there. Don't think there's many of us with a blacked out mouth on white. btw, i need to know where you got your rear spats painted, mind telling me? =)

370Z JT 04-03-2012 09:32 PM

What's up. Naw wasnt me. Although we're gonna look a lot alike after I mount my black face/bronze barrel wheels on soon!

I got the spats painted at Fountain Valley Body Works Auto Body, Paint, and Collision Repair in Orange County California for $200.

litesky 04-04-2012 01:09 AM

Nice! That was exactly where i got my kit painted. All right. i'll take it to those guys then.

I thing some bronze rings in the headlights would tie it in nicely.

Sprint Booster

http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...ntbooster1.jpg

I recently installed the Sprint Booster over the weekend. I bought it used off a forum member. I always read positive reviews on this product and wanted to try it for my self. Here's a quick review.

1. Open driver's door and let the residual battery power drain from the car. Remove the floor mat. You will see a small rectangular cover at the base of the gas pedal. Remove the cover by popping it open with a small flat head screw driver. With the cover removed, two 10 MM bolts will be visible.
http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...ntbooster2.jpg

2. Remove the two boots and the pedal assembly will come loose from the floor. Turn it over, and you will see the harness at the top of the assembly.
http://www.the370z.com/members/370z-...ntbooster3.jpg

3. Disconnect the harness. You may cut the zip tie that is connected to the harness to give you more room. Connect the Sprint Booster and mount the switch. Reinstall the bolts and cover.

I've tried driving in both green (Sport) and red (Race), and have left it in red mode ever since. Throttle response is greatly improved. Sprint Booster has made the Z more lively and enjoyable to drive.

I agree with the license plate, your car is sick!

370Z JT 06-25-2013 07:25 PM

I recently installed the Carkit Company Remote Start kit originally made to fit the GTR. Install was simple. I always wanted this function because I was always running late in the morning waiting for the car to warm up and hated waiting for the car to warm up when leaving work. I liked this option because it uses the factory key fob.

Here it is all laid out.

Here it is installed unmounted.

Amazing job!

Did you have to rewire some things around or was it direct plug and play?

It's plug and play. Disconnect two harnesses, plug in 2 new harnesses, reconnect the 2 original harnesses, and connect 1 ground.

I just swapped out the internals from my 09 fob to the 10+ Z fob.

As long as your fob is in range it will start. Here's one I took in a parking garage. Probably 200 feet away.
