I say brushed lips.

I think you're right Mike. At first I was thinking color matching lip, but I'm leaning more towards brushed after seeing this photoshop. We have your calendar. Just let me know when you want to get it.

Had to replace my rear tires last week after 6,000 miles and getting a flat on the way to work. I paid $350 for an alignment that did nothing to preserve the life of my tires. The shop pretty much told me that they were not responsible. I was at a a minimum of -2.5 degrees all around. That's been corrected so we'll see how long they last this time.

When I get back from vacation I hope to install sway bars and Motordyne ART Pipes.

That's sucks. What are you lowered on and do you have aftermarket alignment kit? Why $350 for an alignment? Is that including a corner balance or something?

As long as I get a year out of my tires I'll be fine with that. But that will be hard miles though.

Z1804 03-05-2011 09:06 AM

They did high speed mount and balance for all 4 tires. The alignment alone was $150. I'm lowered on H&R springs. I thought I was going to get a year out of my tires as well. Now, I'm preparing myself to change them every 6 months.

For what you do with the car if you set the front camber to -1.0 and the rear to -1.7 1.8 max you should get some good mileage out of your tires.:tiphat:

It's best to get under the car every so often to check for uneven tire wear and such. I check my car thoroughly once week now that's it's lowered?

Good thing thing you got the alignment back. I wonder how the alignment got thrown off? Or were you running -2.5 on purpose?

Mine is set up at -1.6 rear and -1.3 front.. I wanted a little more negative camber being it's not a DD. But this will work. It's not off much from what I was shooting for.

I wouldn't put anymore neg camber in the front, mine also is not a daily driver but even if I go to road Atlanta or blaze thru the mountains I wouldn't put anything more than -1.2 and -1.8 front and rear respectably.

Yea, probably so. I'm very happy with it though. Especially with the way it turns in. It's a beautiful thing.

I didn't have them set it that -2.5 on purpose. I told him to do it so it would last me a while. The just F'd it up. Needless to say I will never go back to them again.
