spacers........MEOW

ClemsonWill 01-05-2011 02:00 PM

I won't need them once the TEs go back on. Probably in the next few weeks. I need to install my sway bars first.

The count down is on for how long it will take me to smack my FI exhaust on a speed bump. Anyone care to put their bets in?

I've been slack about updating this thread. I need to go give the Z a bath and take some pictures. Just got my manfrotto tripod and head yesterday. I'm going to try some HDR pictures at some point.

Going to go get an alignment at lunch. Last place I tried couldn;t get the Z on the alignment machine. It's too low. :shakes head:

Nice tripod!

I need to wash my car and have an alignment done as well. Can you take care of it tomorrow for me during your lunch? Thanks.

ClemsonWill 01-14-2011 07:14 AM

Thanks!

After my 2.5 hour experience with getting the alignment done. I'll pass on helping anyone out with that. :shakes head:

My current alignment specs with the H&R springs if anyone is interested.

Front left
Camber -1.8
Toe 0.09

Front right
Camber -1.6
Toe 0.09

Rear left
Camber -1.6
Toe 0.20

Rear right
Camber -1.9
Toe 0.12

The front camber is a little out of stock spec but I don't have a front camber kit so I guess that's to be expected.

Ok, my car has been up on the sticks for the last several weeks but I finally got everything installed.

Eibach sway bar set.
Evo-r rear LED fog light (smoked)
BDL99 backup camera harness to function with the factory navigation.

Everything was extremely easy to install and I have had no issues. I'm really impressed with the sway bars. They make such difference. I have them set to the first hole in the front and the middle hole in the back. I'm tempted to switch it around and see what I like best. Maybe after I make it to an autocross and really but them through the ringer.

Volk wheels are back on for the first time since being lowered. I will be taking pictures soon.

I took a few pictures today. They didn't come out like I had hoped. Hopefully I will be able to get out and take more soon.

The sway bars are awesome. The car seems to be much more planted in turns.

So I decided to take the day off. It was too nice to waste the day at work. My buddy has a shop and he was just doing paperwork in the office. While he was doing that I decided to throw my car on the dyno. Here are my results. I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't in the mid 290s with my FI cbe but oh well. The 280 pull was 3rd gear.

My next mod will hopefully be FI LTH. I think I will see some good gains from that.

Thanks man! I'm looking forward to it.

christian370z 02-25-2011 10:30 AM

With some G3 intakes and a tune, you should get to 300whp. The Z looks great on the dyno though, especially the picture where the Volks are spinning!

ClemsonWill 02-25-2011 10:53 AM

I hope so. I'm going LTH, then G3's, then tune, then SC? Might even try to tune myself before the SC install. I did some light tuning on my S2000 with Flashpro.

One question: I have read that cruising around town (i'm usually under 5k) can affect your ECU. Is this correct? Do I need to do some spirited driving before I get on the dyno?

Yeah, the ECU will pull some timing during regular relaxed driving. It takes a number of pulls before it brings more timing back in and therefore your peak power potential.

ClemsonWill 02-25-2011 02:29 PM

That's what I thought. I probably lost a few horsepower from that. I only did 3 pulls. Oh well. I will be more detailed once I get the long tube headers on.

98intrigue 02-25-2011 08:37 PM

Are you installing the LTHs? If I get some, I don't want to pay for 4hrs of labor.

ClemsonWill 03-01-2011 08:38 AM

Once I get them, yes, I will be doing the install myself.

ClemsonWill 03-16-2011 01:33 PM

Wow, I haven't updated this thread in a long time. I spent some quality time with LiZZy yesterday. I started giving her a bath, then I put her up on the jacks so I could remove her shoes. They were really dirty. Next I will be giving her a full body massage.

Oh and I ordered her some new stuff. Should be in this week. I'm excited.

I got some Gen3s. Probably going to powder coat them flat black before I install. Gen 3s with the LTH (which I should have in the several months), I figure they will hold me over until I can afford a S/C.

Is Uprev the only tuning solution for our cars now? I miss my Flashpro.

Matthew 03-17-2011 10:29 AM

What SC are you going to go with? GTM? You are gonna have to come help me with some of my installs. I have a pile of stuff waiting to get put on and tje buddy that is gonna help keeps backing out.
