Most useless warning in your 370z

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02639.jpg

yup.. everytime you're low on windshield washer, you'll get this annoying message on your message center. It'll beep once to warn you and keep flashing the message every 5 seconds. On the other hand, if your TPMS goes off, you get a small tire icon on the side - NO warning or messages! So, thanks Nissan for getting the priorities right!

That blue looks awesome with the black wheels! Reminds me of the laguna seca blue M3 I used to have a poster of. Looks great!

My car is "Z car of the month" at 370ZSource

AK370Z 12-15-2009 09:37 PM

I was driving my Z two days ago on a local two lane road here. This smart individual  thought it would be a GREAT idea to drive his car in my blind spot for a good few minutes. Lets just say, my Z was okay when I tried to change lanes but I realized in order to save my Z from other drivers, I should put a blind spot mirror. Since our side view mirror is square shape, I went with a generic blind spot mirror from Advance Auto. So far it's been doing a great job. I feel A LOT confident driving the car now. It costs $1.99. Pick one up for an extra piece of mind.

AK370Z 12-15-2009 09:38 PM

Took this picture yesterday. It think I'm slowly getting more used to how my Z looks with the winter rims. I think it looks decent. What you guys think?

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC02711.jpg

JB1 12-15-2009 10:13 PM

Looks good, if I don't find some stock 18" rims to use with winter tires soon, I might get the same rims as you have for my winter set-up. I think they will look good with PG as well.

AK370Z 03-04-2010 10:14 PM

As you probably read here, I didn't have too much luck with removing the winter rims. So, I decided to wash the sports rims. I wanted to clean them in November, after putting the winter rims on. But my dad just came from the hospital at the time and I couldn't do it.

BTW, if you have few hours on your hand, PLEASE clean the inside of your rims. They are so dirty. It was pretty disgusting :barf: take a look

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC03109.jpg

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC03114.jpg

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC03117.jpg

I'm very exhausted now and will probably hit the bed soon. I really wanted to wax the surface on these rims. It's always a good idea since you can always use extra protection against brake dust.

ChrisSlicks 03-04-2010 10:25 PM

Very shiny! Yes definitely throw a couple of coats of wax on them while you have the chance, makes a big difference when you go to wash off the brake dust.

AK370Z 03-04-2010 10:26 PM

I have been saving up for this about a year now. It's just what the doctor ordered! ;).

Go Pro HD : learn more about it here GoPro Official Store: Wearable Digital Cameras for Sports

It's a fantastic product. Anyone who's into sports (and motorsports) use this camera. It can record 720p and 1080P

My 8 GB class 10 HDHC just arrived today therefore, I was playing around with some of the exterior positions. I will make a new thread with the all positions and video samples in near future. Please keep your eye open in the "interior/exterior" section. Here's a little sneak peak ;)

I'll try. Very exhausted though. :(

kdoske 03-04-2010 10:29 PM

I've never waxed rims, good tip thanks! Those cameras are awesome. I would be so afraid the suction cup would loose its seal on a turn though.

argh...
i cant even drive my z cause of my shoulder surgery today...
the numbness is fading and the pain is getting worse...

Oh trust me, that's how I felt before I got the product. But it's such well designed and suction cup actually has a lock on it so that you can drive with a peace of mind. take a look

awesome ak!

Josh@STILLEN 03-05-2010 12:05 AM

We've attached our GoPro to anything and everything.. including our GT-R while beating it down at El Toro during suspension testing.. never wavered a bit..

The only advice I would have is make sure you suction it to something firm.. when pushed hard, we got some flex from the body panels themselves.. not the ability of the camera to stick..

If you can push on the panel and feel some flex.. so will the camera (slightly) and affect smoothness of the video.. firmer panel area the better..

That blue is still stunning AK!

AK370Z 03-05-2010 01:46 AM

Thanks Josh. I'll def keep that in mind.

Here's a small video I edited with Windows Movie Maker . This is 720p version. The 1080p version is processing right now. I'm testing out few settings and such ;).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI7v0uD46Us

There are tons of different settings/positions I'm going to try. BTW, I think I took that last ramp at 70 MPH!

AK I am wondering what you felt about the blue before you bought it, and how do you feel about it now? Has it grown on you? Or did you love it from the start?

I'm wanting a Metallic Black, but finding one has been rather tiresome and I'm thinking the blue would be my 2nd choice and I'm not a fan of it as much as the black, but I'm wondering if having enough time with it, would that change my mind? Or am I being completely retarded and over-thinking this? lol

FuszNissan 03-06-2010 05:24 AM

I don't have a blue 7AT in stock, so I don't like it...lol

I wasn't so sure about the blue in the beginning but I did like like it. But the day I came to pick up my Z from the dealer, I was basically . It's such a beautiful color.

You have to understand, white , black or red etc are simple colors. There's no wow factor in them. But this special light blue gets attention everywhere. As you may already know, I attended an autox event yesterday http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...eo-inside.html. I have had at least 7 people tell me how fantastic the blue color looks. Started from a gas station where the attendants told me that this is the BEST blue color they have ever seen (and they see plenty of cars everyday). Then, at the autox event, I had people walk over to me and tell me how fantastic the color looks. Heck, even the Tech inspectors at the event were thrilled to see this color. There was also a black 370Z at the event and as I have said before, it's just another color.

So, yes, I love my Monterey Blue. I wouldn't have it ANY OTHER WAY!

here i come Monterrey Blue

Hi guys, i signed up this morning to the site. I am going to sign this morning for a 2009 370z touring sport edition, Monterrey blue. I wanted a platinum colored car, but the search for that car is proving to be quite a hassle. Ive gone back to the dealership twice to look at the car, and its definitely growing on me. I cannot wait to get the car and start driving it. Im from Boston and apparently there is the road that all Porsche owners are sent to to drive in Maine, about 2 hours away from me. As soon as I get the Z im going up there and showing them who's boss!

Ill post some pics when i get the car. Look forward to speaking with you guys!
