thanks asmmugen
JB - Thanks, but I probably wont be looking into a BBK since I'm not venturing into the power adders either. Stock Sport brakes are really enough for me and my purposes :D |
EVO-R FRP sides are here. I might throw a coat of bumper paint on the sides and front lip.
If the spring install goes well on Sunday I'll throw those on also. |

10/30
Installed Swift Spec-R drop springs (1.25 F, 1.0 R) 10/31 Installed EVO-R 3pc front lip and EVo-R side blades, both in FRP, black A few crappy cell phone pics for now. Hopefully springs will settle this week and I can get a photoshoot going http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0-31155003.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0-31183753.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0-31181550.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0-31183817.jpg Normal driving is as smooth as stock, but sudden dips and potholes are much softer. The ride is very enjoyable. Once you start to drive a little more aggressive, the springs feel very tight and there is far less body than before. Car feels great! I love these springs so far |

Nice! Did you do it yourself?

looks mad clean!
|
how do you like the evo r side blades and is it pre drilled to fit the oem's side skirts holes?
|
Tj - yes, the install was done at home with a friend. Though due to the lack of a good impact gun, we took the front shock assembly to his work to put on the swift springs. We swapped them at home, but didn't line up the tophats correctly, so we decided to just take them to his work and use their spring compressor to speed up the process. The lip and sides were both installed by myself in about 1.5 hrs.
Thanks Andrew Crazy - I love the evor sides, well worth the wait. They add a great flare without giving up more than 1/2 inch of ground clearance. They are contoured perfectly to the car and the length is near spot on. I would suggest having a helping hand to just hold the skirts while you drill them in. There are 5 mounting holes along the blades, and they do not use stock mounting tabs. EvoR includes self tapping screws for an easy job; probably 30 minutes for both. |
Looks good! You need to do a photoshoot with the quality of your pictures you take :)

Ha, thanks man. I really need to nail a good shoot on this car. I want to see if the springs will settle any more this week, if so, then I'll try a shoot on Thursday or Friday night.
I don't think ill be touching this car for the remainder of the year, I went a bit overboard these last few weeks lol. Next year will be audio and wheels, maybe some motordyne parts :) I am very content with the car as it sits though. |
Looks good, dude.
