CrazyBeasty's Z34 Journal

Hey guys, I'm new to the 370z forums and decide to start my journal. For now as for mod updates so far all I have done is tinted my windows and my tail lights, but around Wednesday, when my cf fang comes in along with my chrome bulb there will be more pictures, but this is all i have for now take a look.

Looks great. I think the lower rear valence blacked out would look good with your tails.

crazybeasty 03-21-2010 08:02 PM

yeah me too but im getting a cf fang and the paint wouldnt match with my fang so unless they come out with a cf valence cover then i wont be doing that anytime soon =/

CBRich 03-21-2010 09:10 PM

There is a company on the forum here who makes a carbon fiber rear diffuser. It's not a true diffuser for aero but is carbon fiber and would match well.

CBRich 03-21-2010 09:11 PM

Here it is. They show the black one but they also make a CF version.

The taillight tint looks great and is exactly what Id like mine to look like. What tint did you use?

yeah i read that forums b4 the company said it wouldnt be the same type of cf as the fang because the diffuser is extremely hard to make =[

Raced My baby for the first time today. Won 2-0

NewYorkJon34 03-25-2010 02:32 PM

I went to the local shop today and they did not want to tint my tails because they said "it would be too hard, and he did not want to waste his taillight tint" which looked like cheapo tint to me. I'm just going to order from Andy aka BlueBatmobile, his tint is good & I think I know someone local that will install it. Also I had nissan install the chrome bulbs to replace the "egg yolk"...it looks tits, ;)

crazybeasty 03-25-2010 08:35 PM

yeah u just got to research a good tint shop or maybe just a street auto/body shop but alright man good luck and yes im waiting for my bulb and cf fang to come in i cant wait btw how much did nissan charge u to install the bulb

crazybeasty 04-02-2010 07:34 PM

thx now all i need is to know how to put on my fang the safe and correcr way lol

NewYorkJon34 04-03-2010 12:13 AM

Ya, I had Nissan install those same taillight bulbs, the installer might have a hard time putting them in as the guy said they don't sit in the taillights perfect, but I couldn't tell. It is a def subtle upgrade that makes the taillights look soo much better.

370Z JT 04-03-2010 12:52 AM

nice! where'd you get the fang covers from? z store or evo-r?

crazybeasty 04-06-2010 07:06 PM

Here guys all mods are installed but today i got an the DUMBEST ACCIDENT EVER! the story is i was at a stop light and the light just turned green, my windows were down because i just got out of school and my car was hot so i ruled it down, but anyways as the light turn green i let go of the brakes to start going all of the sudden someone drives up to my leftside, screams my name and distracts me and i hit the girls rear fender behind of me. From now on I am never driving with my windows down lol. Luckly i only got minor dents on my front bumper which i have to get replaced but my CF fang was not damaged.

ok bro first of all dont do anything at the dealer they rip u off so much i went there and asked them to install my tail light and fang and they told me it will take 2 hours and they are gonna charge me 200+tax and i was like wow nevermine ill do it myself so i went home found some DIY on removing tail lights and i removed it myself it took me 20mins tops and it was extremely easy and for the bulb if u bought urs from 370z source then it will fit perfectly because 370z source uses the stalk bulb and just paints over it with chrome and the fang was truly the easiest besides the annoying tape sticking in the rong places lol but it took me no more then 10mins and i saved 200 dollars too.

370z source because the one from evo-r u have to drill holes and for the 370zsource fang u just have to add more 3m tape to it and it will stick like super glue and if u want to remove it no damage will be done to ur car and one quick tip when u install the fang with 3m tape its kinda hard to get it in the exact spot cuz the tape sticks on what ever it touches first so u pull it in and out alot so i recommend u put painters tape on the edges so u dont scratch ur sides like i did.

NewYorkJon34 05-25-2010 03:50 PM

i got them done by a shop but if ur gonna install tint by urself then use a little bit of soapy water dip ur tint in them and make sure that ur lights are completely dust free and then place ur tint on and use a credit card to straighten out any air bubbles i used this method to tint my lexus tail lights no problem

do u soak them in soupy water b4 u put it on? if u take the tint and soak it in soapy water u can peal it off if u mess up so u can keep trying untill u get it right and it doesnt mess up ur tint either lol

NewYorkJon34 09-30-2010 03:38 PM

I did not soak them, didn't think u had to. We wet them alil bit, these lights are impossible to tint.
