That happened to me just in the supporting mods phase and I'm not even planning to boost lol

So I need to do the oil gallery gaskets. Might as well go ahead and throw in some SuckerPunch oil pump gears :rofl2:

Yep, the thing is if you are boosted or track a lot the idea that it will be a long time be fore you are in there again is a joke just like the saying I will be happy when she is finished. Get the hell out of town.

You can be finished until the next thing breaks or starts acting like it is broke. LOL

Or you want it to break so you can justify the buying of upgraded parts sitting on the self that you bought just on case something happens.

Never noticed that; but since...her car was totaled out by seawater :ugh2:
Parked on the streets at the beach this past year & when one of the last hurricanes came by - water got up near top of doors and shorted all the electrical out...had car full of the marshy saltwater :shakes head:
Insurance company immediately totaled it

WOW, mine is good with it for the most part but I do have a limit. She use to complain about my truck until one day I said I was done. That was a long time ago and she even enjoys it. She says it is her truck now. LOL Me, I was like WTH???

Credit where credit is due, wife was good with me getting a turbo, and was pretty even keeled about everything else I've spent in supporting mods. Too much at once though, and she gets a little salty, which is unfortunate since it's much easier when everything is in pieces.

That is your first modified car I assume. My wife is use to it. I was modding cars when she married me. She saw what happens if I make a mistake and have to go back and redo. I am about done though. Close to her limit. I can tell.

Not the first, but by far the most extensive. My 350z I modded before I met her. It's a curious balance - she's lavish in some ways (bought a new house and a new car at the same time) but very frugal in others. We've had to come to an understanding on a lot of points.

Rusty 02-03-2021 02:07 PM

I can nickle and dime and the wifey won't say a word. Do one big purchase and she blows up unless it's for the house or on her. I'm still catching flak for the rifle scope.

I can relate to that. The only thing I didn't catch flak for was the TracSpec vents. I sent her a picture of Madwi's car and she said 'I like those vents' SCORE!!!!! :happydance:

I only catch hell from mid-September to the end of December..... :ugh2:

The Schmidt & Bender scope was $3200. I made the mistake of using the wrong credit card. When the mail came up. She just happened to open up THAT bill. I still have a lot of gun stuff coming in. It's just been on back order.

I'm starting on your rain shields this weekend.

I plan for years, replan, go though a dark night of the soul wondering if I should even do x y or z build, save and then eventually a tsunami of pain ensues but over a briefer period. Rip it off quick like a band aid I say.

Same here. Wife is fine with whatever as long as we can afford it, finances aren’t separate or secret so communication is key. We’re both gear heads so as long as she gets to mod her Jeep and our (her) track car we good.

Wifey remembers all my car build Fvck ups, so whenever I’m modding, she just wants to make sure I’ve thought through everything and planned ahead so I don’t wind up redoing sh1t etc. she still has trouble getting that on a big build there’s always going to be some things that get missed or unexpectedly come up no matter how meticulous the planning, but it’s all good. :driving:

As long as I don’t secretly delete the a/c it’ll be fine. :icon17:

You know that shipment is coming here first. I'm to inspect everything in the boxes and remove all the bad parts. Then ship ship the empty boxes to you.

jchammond 02-07-2021 02:34 AM

It’s only 7-boxes 245# :ugh2:
Oil Pan shipped to Mazworx, or weight could have been closer to mine :wtf2:
