IPT is used by a few well known shops & performs very well.
Goals are to run 1/4,1/2 & eventually 1 mile events...:tiphat:
Basically 0-200 :driving:

Awesome! Hopefully you and spooler can come down for a 1/2 mile event here someday so me and wifey can hang out with y’all and watch you dudes tear up the strip.

Xona rotor turbos, nice some of the world’s fastest TT RS’s and RS3s are running stage 3 BT setups with a xona making around 1000 ++ hp and running in the 8’s in the 1/4. Maybe faster now, I’m not following that stuff too closely anymore.

I tried setting up timelines :icon14: but they just don't work with large builds. I know you have been planning doing a massive modifications for a while :yum:

-edit

Your build sheet looks almost identical to the steps I went through which is pretty cool. I Mr. Magoo'ed my way learning every step. lol

Agreed! What is a timeline? Got to think like Native people or be on island time. Time is not relevant it is done when it is done. I hate myself for saying that but it is what it is. It looks like I am going to miss the start of the upcoming Time Trail season which starts the end of next month and the next event after that is two weeks later at one of my favorite tracks. Waiting on others suck even if you understand their issues. You guys are fortunate as for the most part you are in controll of when things get done.

Update on everything :ugh2:

Engine is awaiting the Darton sleeves, as the King rod bearings are now in.

Twin turbo kit is awaiting the Turbo’s; as they had some kinda custom machine work being done to them.

Exhaust is awaiting the polished 3” mufflers, to complete.

Transmission will be shipping to IPT this month.

All Hvac components are in & install on that in garage has begun.

Hopefully will have Z on lift by 1/31/21

Does that fan blow toward your house? If so this may be a problem with airflow for the unit outside cooling the condenser. I have had that issue before when I was in the AF.

Yes it will; shouldn’t be an issue with this setup...as always will be in the shade & Hvac guy said it looked great.
Also it’s within drawing specs on mounting
Inside part will blow downward; unsure if it oscillates or not...but don’t want it aimed at roll up door :ugh2:
I’ll know in a couple days :tiphat:

jchammond 01-16-2021 08:59 PM

HVAC fully functional in garage now
Gonna be working on a few shelves & removing some clutter beginning tomorrow :ugh2:
Still planning to have Z on lift by end of January :yum:

jchammond 01-21-2021 03:08 AM

Specialty Z’s forced induction Flex Fuel Kit

Good parts. I looked into using Zeitronix for my entire gauge setup when I did the car. In hindsight I wish I had since the LCD screen went out on my Greddy Multi-Gauge. I also like the Profec. I have the original running mine.

We’re the coil packs bad or you just replacing all the OEM stuff too?

Rusty 01-30-2021 02:03 PM

They weren’t bad, just 125k miles & Seb recommended the GTR ones over the 370 ones :ugh2:
Said he’s seen some of the stock ones misfire, when potentially running over 20# boost...idk :tiphat:
Beings he’s gonna be tuning; I got parts he recommended

:iagree::iagree::iagree: My project initially would have been about $20k but because it has taken more than two years you can triple that. Death by a 60,000 paper cuts! :ugh2::owned::driving:

Dude...The ‘while I’m in there’ and ‘it’ll never be easier while that’s off’ add-ons kill a car build budget.
