so have you decided on a new daily driver?

It's between an '08+ STI or a BMW 335i Sedan, whichever I find 1st. I am assuming it will be an STI since a 6MT 335i Sedan with black interior isn't that easy to find. :)

Just made an appointment at a shop to take the LSD out on Tuesday, so it will be ready to ship on Wednesday the 11th!

Nice! How do you like it so far?

Caravanshaka 08-06-2010 02:19 PM

I'd love to tell you, but I haven't taken delivery yet

it's got a cobb downpipe and access port with a custom tune putting down 290hp and 355 tq on a dyno dynamics :excited:
I needed something to carry the baby around, just didn't mention to my wife that it will be as fast or faster than the Z :rofl2:

It's in St Louis at the moment, if I can't get a flight out there tomorrow to drive it home, then it's getting picked up by a shipping truck monday.

M.Bonanni 08-06-2010 02:43 PM

Awesome! I have my eye on one here in Vegas. Hopefully they will still have it by the time my Z is back to stock.

Caravanshaka 08-06-2010 03:36 PM

this one? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false :)

M.Bonanni 08-06-2010 03:39 PM

Hahaha yes actually. Good price for an '09 with that many miles. Probably because of the less than tasteful choice of mods...Going there tonight to take a closer look at it. Hate the wheels, hate the hood pins. Looks from the photos like they tried to use a chemical cleaner on the lips and effed up the faux titanium finish. Also looks like the hood is yellowed. All ammo to drive down the price even more. Maybe I can even get them to take the Z, give me the STI, and a check for a few grand to fix all that crap.

:rofl2: good luck :)

I agree, hood and wheels look terrible, but can be easily fixed. I didn't look too hard at the other stuff, but appears the engine bay is stock.

i bought the blue one with 25k miles on it for $26,500 to give you an idea.

Caravanshaka 08-06-2010 03:44 PM

Yeah thats a killer price. The used one here I am looking at blue books at $36k still and is marked down to $30k. My Z blue books trade-in at $30k as well, so hoping at least for a straight trade. I am definitely not paying to take home that car since I will have to put another $1-2k in fixing the ugly stuff.

Based on book value's you should be ok, hopefully they might offer to fix a few of the eye-sores too

If you want I'll email you the rest of the pics not in my album, although I don't think I have the dyno graph saved.

Mike 08-06-2010 04:23 PM

just powdercoat those wheels on the subie black and be done with that part of it!

M.Bonanni 08-06-2010 04:23 PM

Sure! Send them over! I may have a cf hood for sale in a few weeks for it if you're interested. :)
