Thanks! Live and learn, as they say...I wanted to make sure it doesn't happen again!

Sorry man, a bit off topic here but what camera are you using on your track vids? The resolution is wonderful, my gopro doesnt look as clear and smooth as yours.

GoPro Hero 4 Black in 1080p/60 mode. The key is to make sure you have a rigid mount that won't be subject to vibration...the normal GoPro suction mount won't do. Personally, I use this tow-hook mount:

P-Tuning Tow Hook and GoPro Mount
PTUNING.COM | Performance Auto Parts Warehouse, Installation, and Dyno Tuning

PTUNING.COM | Performance Auto Parts Warehouse, Installation, and Dyno Tuning

As well as a RAM Mount (suction) for a general purpose internal/external camera mount:

RAM Custom GoProŽ Hero Adapter - RAP-B-202U-GOP1 | RAM Mounts

I also use the RAM Mount for my iPhone when running Harry's Lap Timer, to insure accurate GPS and accelerometer data:

RAM Model Specific Form-Fitted Cradle for the Apple iPhone 6 WITHOUT CASE, SKIN OR SLEEVE Unpackaged - RAM-HOL-AP18U | RAM Mounts

NOTE: The form-fitting mounts are the only ones that work. The "X-Grip" mounts are much too loose to hold the phone securely at speed and while cornering.

I completed my first event since the rebuild two weeks ago at Laguna Seca. Conclusion: The car's fast, but I'm rusty (Exhibit A: https://youtu.be/otc1sAzDXEU) after so many months off the track that I will need more practice to get back into the groove. One big relief: no sound issues at Laguna, even on a 90db day!

So, why did it take so long to get back on track? Well, it turns out the 3500 rpm/limp mode issue I was seeing was the result of a slipped cam encoder ring: http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...derslipped.pdf

Something to keep in mind if anyone else has similar symptoms.

I'll be back at Laguna Seca on 12/26 and right after that I'll be taking the car to the shop for maintenance and a dyno tune on 101 octane. I'd like to do something sooner, but this time of the year is just too busy...

*EDIT*: Alright well, couldn't resist...I signed up for Buttonwillow on the weekend of 12/17!

Went in for some preventive maintenance yesterday. My clutch hose was kinked and at risk of fraying, so we replaced it with a new stainless steel braided line.

A little prep work for Buttonwillow this weekend!

Here's the video from Buttonwillow (12/17). No record lap time...I'm going to have to rebuild my skills, and cut that yaw sensor wire!

Video from MRLS coming soon!

The car is up for sale. Asking for $18,000 -- it's in great condition and hopefully will go to someone who will continue to campaign it on the track!

I just picked up a 2017 Z06:

What a beauty, I have been wondering why you have been so silent! Have you had her on the track yet?

Not yet! I need to get through the break-in period and get a clear bra on her first, but soon! I also need to get accustomed to the power and handing! I'll probably do either Buttonwillow or Laguna Seca since I have the most experience at those two.
