Thanks, guys! I'm already itching to get back out there, LOL!

I stopped by SpecialtyZ yesterday for an EcuTek tune with Seb. Made some very nice gains on a stock engine:

And here's a quick video on the dyno:

Even better, EcuTek RaceROM has some very nice features I'm eager to try on the track, including improved throttle response (especially in 2nd gear), configurable and much less intrusive traction control, and flat-foot shifting. Thanks again to Seb@SZ!

So this is what happened to my wheel at ACS last weekend:

That's an otherwise brand-new tire (1 day old). No idea what caused it, this was the last session right before lunch and there was no indication of a problem beforehand. Now, my ABS, VDC Off, and Wheel Slip Indicator lights are all on solid. I'm taking the car into the shop tomorrow for diagnosis.

damn dude! sorry to know about the problem that you have on last track day :(

Back on the track after finally discovering what had caused my ABS to go out -- it was a wheel bearing. Here's the video from Buttonwillow. Enjoy!

nice run my friend!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm getting ready for a weekend at Laguna Seca, starting tomorrow. Skies are expected to be clear -- a relief after my last event.

My best lap at Thunderhill 3-Mile CW was 2:16.54:

It was wet out there and despite being prepared for it mentally, I was still surprised at how easy it was to lose traction! Modest amounts of steering and throttle were more than enough to break the rear end loose:

Love SpeedDistrict!!!

I'll be at Buttonwillow for the weekend of January 23rd. Josh is also planning to host some events at ACS in 2016, can't wait!

Actually I made a mistake. Its speed VENTURES we're running with. Too many companies with "speed" in the names lol. I'm shooting for Jan 31st at Buttonwillow. I still need a set of tires and brakes so we'll see. If not the 31st then Febuary 21st at ACS will be my next track day. How are you liking the re71's?

Yep, I've run with Speed Ventures at ACS and was planning to go to their Chuckwalla event last month before the car started acting up. Good group!

The RE-71Rs are incredible! The best performing street tire on the market and likely better than Nitto NT01 -- we're waiting on Andrie Hartanto's review for the final verdict. I get about 6 track days on a set and I'm on my second set right now. I'll likely buy a new set in February, but we'll see how they wear.

Here's my fastest lap from the weekend at Laguna Seca, 1:50.09:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCjHP88GGJo

This is 6 seconds faster than my last outing at MRLS, but I've still got work to do. I need to carve my corners more aggressively and improve my consistency lap to lap. My virtual best right now is 1:48. Suspension will make a big difference too.

Next event is Buttonwillow, followed (likely) by Thunderhill in late January.

I've got some more videos I'll post up soon!

nice videos dude!
