I agree, they help, but when you remove them, you start learning the track again, as most people would be very focused on them and choose their braking points depending on them (and I am not an exception), I think you can learn the track faster without them in the first place, but at least with them you know where the turn is going with the narrower view.

So weather isn't perfect but events are starting again. We had an Autox/sprint event, where I got third place, this is my fastest run.

Another day, another event, another 3rd place, the same EvoX and STI ahead of me, but our Autocross becoming more like alleys cross :rofl2:

I don't post a lot lately, and there is no real work on the Z, but my DD will be sold soon, my Jeep served me well for over 7 years, got a new daily, somehow stealthy, have a lot of potentials, but I want to resist this urge to mod :rofl2:

TTS in Daytona Gray, Red interior, and optional 20".

Got a good deal on it, I will not track it, but who knows how long I will resist the urge, but planning on autocrossing it, will be nice to compare the Z with it there.

Good luck on resisting the urge to modify. Let me help you with that as there is a pretty good plug and play flash tune that increase performance significantly. I haven't checked their web site but RT Tuning sells it.

Noooo please nooooo :rofl2: My friend has APR dealership here in Qatar, and he is not helping at all, 360 with only tune, around 400hp with exhaust, and around 500hp with turbo upgrade, and on top of that they have a discounted price right now.

But I am resisting, two project cars is enough

:rofl2::rofl2:

First time at Autocross (last round) with the TTS, and as usual my 370z was present.

They were in different classes, I think it would be a drag to explain all the classes, but we have 3 categories depends on engine displacement, and each one has production and open class, production means stock car with the only allowed mods are (exhaust, intake, tune, lowering springs and semi-slicks), anything more means open.

TTS was in production, Z was open, both under 2500-3700cc NA or 1600-2500cc FI, such broad categories but cannot change them.

The Z finished 4th :roflpuke2:, the track was dusty and my R1S are old and had many heat cycles, so didn't help me to put my power down, and I was always on part-throttle to not spin the wheels and go doooriftooooo mode, and I was against evos and sti

my best run was 54.3, but I don't know where are the cones that has been counted as penalty

Official fastest 54.8

Here is where it get interesting, my TTS did 55 flat, but didn't manage to top the class, there was a 718 Boxster (not sure if it is S or normal) that was faster  I was 2nd but satisfied nonetheless, as I entered on old PS4S which was on the car when I bought it.

anyway, I have plans for it, I will get Carbotech AX6 pads, 18 wheels with re71r or a052, tune, and top mounts (front for camber, will ask if it is allowed in the class, the non-adjustable type) if not, I may get lowering springs. Hopefully it can challenge for top place next season.

As my Z, I think I need to open the gearbox, refresh it, and then get new tire set for it, I may try A052 on it this time, with a higher tire profile, they may grip better or equally on dusty surfaces, and they will not heat cycle like slicks (as I want to get a full season out of them), my power isn't bad, but I struggle to get it down sometimes so higher tire profile could help, or maybe I need to get less camber at the rear, mmmmmmm, I made it around -2.2 rear, it gives a very progressive and controllable slide, or maybe I need to remove rear swaybar, I got lazy to try to de-attach it in one round at least to try how it change.

Looks like this season my Z will get a rest until I open the transmission or I get a built one, as far as tracks and autocross. I will use my racecar in tracks and the TT for autocross for the time being.

Aaaaaand, I said I will resist upgrades :ughdance:

My TT got new top mounts from Superpro, it promises a -1.3 camber increase, I got -2.1 on passenger side and -1.6 on driver side. Also, got from Mike@TPM 18 wheels and yoko A052 tires.

Finally, it got tuned with APR stage 1, it makes 360hp now  I attached my performance difference.

LOL, and so it begins!

New wheels on it

I said my Z will get a rest, but looks like it isn't :rofl2: first round for Qatar National Sprint 2021, got double first place in Audi and Z classes, the usual top two in Z class were absent.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_19JN__iLyw

I can say this is the unofficial fastest run, up was 54.8, this one 54.2 but I got stopping cone penalty as I went a little over the line, I started to like the launch control on it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfkcKN7ULUY

The TT did 54 flat, but without launch control, I got an error when I tried it but it went away after turning it off and on again.

The Z should be faster, but the layouts they make prefers acceleration over handling :icon14:

Back to the track after nearly a year hiatus, I didn't do a lot of changes to my racecar, even the gauges are still the same way :roflpuke2: a lot of complication for a simple thing, but a friend is making a 3d modeling for AC plate, and creating a gauges mount to fit in its place, and I am waiting him to finish.

I didn't go with big expectations, I was with the mentality to just drive at the track and get back the rhythm for it. The day started with a new light, ABS light, I didn't inspect it until now, but I entered the race without ABS.

Qualified at 13th place, with a time of 2:32.2, but during the outlap for the race I had some issues with TPS not calibrated and went back to the garage and did a quick calibration, but I got penalized and started from last place, and I had a bad start for the same reason I went out for :eekdance:. I made my way until I finished at 9th place, my best lap was 2:30.9

Second race, I found myself leading for 4 turns but tried to open way for faster cars as I didn't want to get excited and make mistakes that can be dangerous for other drivers, I wanted to just get my own way with the car and try to get the hang of it, started 7th finished 8th, best lap was 2:29.6 which is better than last season best, although I am on last year tires.

Prove I was at the lead :happydance:

Finally I got the chance to drive the Miata, thanks to my friend, I had a problem where it was a little hard to heel/toe in it (it is either too low throttle or full throttle where it bounce over the limiter), so opted to just slip it  I am sorry.

SuperPRO bushings

PART NO. - Description
SPF3885K - Front Lower Arm, front
SPF3886K - Front Lower Arm, rear

This is what I needed from SuperPRO catalogue, they made from the same materials of whiteline, Polyurethane bushings, but found front lower arm option so took all I need from them after I read that they have the same quality of WL. I didn't want to go full solid bushings for the time being.

How did you end up liking the SuperPro bushings for the front lower control arms?
