1LIFE's Dynosty Built 820whp/733tq 1st ever VHR Haltech Elite ran TT370

After a decade of going back and forth with the idea of doing a built TT Z (former 350 owner) I finally made it a reality. What I wanted was a bulletproof built motor so to say, a 1k plus capable build pushed to a relatively modest amount initially. Having Dynosty basically in my back yard was/is a tremendous plus, I have followed many of their builds as well as some of the builds that rolled out of Injected Performance where Hal and the guys started over 10 years ago. Basically I gave them the go ahead to blueprint and build this thing the way they would as if it were their own and was blown away with the plans moving forward. The most exciting thing of all (other than the ridiculous power haha) was the plans to run the motor with the Haltech Elite, as it would be the 1st VHR running with a standalone. So with no hesitation at all I dropped her off in July 14' and in 8 months, mission complete.. Some of you guys may have followed my "some motor porn" teaser thread lol and I appreciated the interest and support while I was Z less ha. So without further ado here is a complete build list and some more pics for you all to enjoy..

Redman24 05-11-2015 06:23 PM

Very nice. Can't wait to see numbers and top end results. So that's what might can look like when it grows up one day. Great choices for upgrades.

roplusbee 05-12-2015 07:12 AM

How did you get the Haltech to support the dual intake/throttle setup on the Z? Software patch? Aux input programmed to mirror drive by wire? I'm curious and interested.......

I need to get a nice tire set up in the rear.. Hoping to fit some 345's without doing wide body.. Once I do I will see what she will do in a 1/4

roplusbee 05-12-2015 09:25 PM

Roger that. I did a little reading on it and the Haltech unit can be run with the stock ECU and control stuff, I just don't have a good understanding of how that works.

We are using UpRev also.. So Haltech, UpRev, and stock ecu are running everything

roplusbee 05-14-2015 01:40 AM

After going back to review the equipment installed, I see why they chose to run the Haltech and stock ECU together. 1300cc injectors would be not so nice at partial throttle, unless your tuner took a lot of extra time and gave special attention to the cruising range of cells with UPREV alone. Did you really need 1300cc injectors or was it for an added safety margin? My build had 1000cc injectors and it would stumble at about 3.3-3.5k RPM at partial throttle.

I would rather pay for extra dyno time than purchase the Haltech to be used as a piggyback system, but that is just my opinion. I think you will be able to use the Haltech unit exclusively in the near future. There are some smart people working on solutions for the drive by wire x2 issue. With that being said, my setup was running solely on UPREV for management and in the right hands is all you need. The Haltech unit has some beast-mode features though.

 Quite an impressive Dyno Chart!!
