No worries. It would have been nice to get a few shake down runs in the G though.

Looking great Tony

Weather was nice today - Sunny with a High of 62 degrees - so I took the car up to Jtran Motorsports and got the final E85 tune. I say final because the Borgwarner EFR6758 turbos will not make anymore than 21 PSI with the medium actuators that come with the AAM TT kit. Because of this we are basically out of boost control and have also ran out of room on the ID1000s.
So that means my power mods are pretty much done. Now the mods to put the power down and handle it will commence in 2016 while I track test and tune! :driving: Big props to the Jtran Motorsports family! :happydance: http://i.imgur.com/1yFCSsN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dSCzAUF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QiSLdEQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7I3Qdqs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fHMdyhg.jpg |
Why can't you control the Boost with Ecutek?

VQ35HR. No Ecutek |

Oh Okay. Thanks for the insight. |
^ Also I have the Innovate SCG-1 boost control solenoid, but it doesn't matter because the medium actuators on the EFR6758s that come with the AAM TT won't make more than 21psi. To get higher psi I would need to change out the actuators, but to do that would mean dropping the motor again. If that happens I might as well do the core upgrade.. At the moment I am content with learning how to drive the car faster as opposed to adding more boost. Maybe things will change in the future?

I think 700 is enough to play with for now.

Royal Purple Raceway was having it's last open Friday night of the year this past weekend. I'm still waiting on my DSS axles which I paid for back on Oct 7th, but I couldn't resist the itch to go back.
I babied the starts so that I wouldn't break another axle, basically rolled off 1st like I do when I drive the car to work. http://i67.tinypic.com/ea1clh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/g40ycEx.jpg To my surprise my 60' was only 3/10ths worse than when I was trying to launch the car and just spun. Considering the best time for the night I got wasn't too far off from my previous best time, the car is definitely quicker! http://i.imgur.com/8KQbVp3.jpg If/when my DSS axles ever come I have a small remedy for my traction issues in the form of a different set of wheels/tires for the rear: http://i.imgur.com/xmvRjOx.jpg Also this past Sunday the Z Club of Houston | Houston Z's had a Christmas Party x Dyno Day @ Jtran Motorsports which I just had to stop by! |
I heard you only put down a measly 702whp
