I think you are a prime candidate to do a proper widebody build and throw some 405s on the rears :tiphat: :icon17: :yum: :driving:

I have been battling not going wide body for quit a while now. I finally came to grips with repainting the entire car not long ago. I will inquire about doing a true widebidy but am unaware of anyone here capable of doing something here in Phx like DTM did for mikes Z. Oh and the wife would stop putting out Indefinetly :wtf2: but........I'm still thinkig about it :roflpuke2: ugh means these wheels are not gonna be deep enuf......again

A performance/sticky tire I a 405? :yum: me want to see it

That would be like a quad dualie 370Z. Each tire is bigger than two stock sport package rear tires combined

Anything can be done with a sawzall...

More room for tires? check! Weight reduction? check! Speed holes? check!

Nice work on the build and thanks for sharing the pictures!

Rid3_FaM0uS 02-14-2015 11:13 AM

Orrrr you could just do it the simple way and run hella negative offsets and one mean *** widebody kit!

Rusty 02-14-2015 12:09 PM

Plasma cutter, mig welder, 2 open top 55gal drums cut down the middle and then cut the bottom off. Plasma cut the fender arches on the car. Mount the tires on the car. Put 2x4's on top of the tires for tub clearance. Now put put your cut drum pieces on top of the tires, and weld into place. :D

I DO have a picuture of this in my head. Because I have done this before on a friends 4x4. :bowrofl:

My wheels and tires are out for delivery and I'm at work noooooooooo!!!:superghey:

bullitt5897 03-03-2015 12:00 PM

FYI... if you start running into backpressure issues... look into porting the turbo manifold! I am on the T25+ custom housings and I was able to remove over 1/4" of material from the turbo manifold outlet!

Wow thanks for the heads up! That's cool to know!! If I change anything about this manifold its going to be to install the overtake amuse and ditch this one  Of course that means redoing everything .......again :rofl2:
Keep me posted on what's going down with yours man.
Do u have any issues with water temp when it's hot out? I'm only runny two oil coolers and the oil temp is fine but the water temp can get up there pretty well. I wasn't sure if u were running the 70mm GTM radiator and fan set up like me or not.

I am running the Competition 70MM with the dual 16" Spal fans. We are running Nissan blue coolant at the moment with the Dual Competition 34 Row coolers... I haven't had the opportunity to overheat the car as we have been replacing the Manifolds and the temps haven't gotten over 60* outside lately. I will probably be on the dyno again on saturday.... my Bank1 is running lean at idle and back to normal under throttle... This makes me think it is one of a few items (bad plug, bad maf, or bad injector). Tonight I will be swapping maf's to the other bank to rule them out then disassembling the plenum and checking the spark plugs and hopefully not having to pull the fuel rails... That will be a bitch!!!

Yeah that's my set up only I thought they were 14" HO spal fans. Either I'm wrong or u found a way to put bigger fans in yours which if that is the case that's what I need to do. If u indeed out even larger fans in there I wanna talk to u about that setup. 115 here u can sit idle in traffic or poof.

Ugh I hope it's something easy for you bro. You and i both know that's Almost always a rarity at this point in the game.

Yeah, I thought they were 14" fans as well until we brought out the measuring tape and I was like holy crap they are 16"!!!

I am also switching over to the VIS terminator hood to help with the airflow...

I checked the MAFs last night and the problem did not go away... (swapped them to other sides) ohhh and having the MAF located under the pipe was not ideal for an easy and quick swap... So now I know its either a plug or injector...

going to pick up a 9/16 spark plug socket on the way home... the hole in my turbo manifold was on the first runner... Most likely that spark plug is burned out from the heat. I will know more tonight.

Car idles fine from 800-1000rpm but as soon as it drops below 800 it goes lean on Bank 1... so the AFR reading is reading a missfire or a clogged injector.

I'm waiting on varis vented hood and carbon air ducts to aid In air flow as well. Holly crap they measure that big! Ugh I need MOAR power lol double up on them haha.

Tturbo if you have anyone pull your upper manifold have them check the bolt threads for material.... I found that my vacuum leak was from two stripped holes on runner #4... Going to helicoil it and refasten the manifold back down while I'm at Z1 on Saturday.

I'm glad u found it. I had specialty Z rip my car complelty apart and redo everything. This included taking apart the manifold and checking it for chunky uneven spots from poor casting etc. I didn't think about porting the intake when we see I there as it seemed a ok for me.
