Would I be violating any forum rules by posting a short clip of my dragon run on saturday?
Here are a few pictures I've put to Facebook and a few I've taken screen shots of http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...0at61521PM.png http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...0at54819PM.png This one was of our poker run. We made a wrong turn and decided to just go with it. In doing so, we missed that hail storm! http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_5268.jpg And on the way home http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_5351.jpg |
No I post Dragon vids all the time. Its not racing! Nice pics.

Okay awesome!
Now for the disclaimers: 1) this is my second go at the dragon EVER, I don't know the course and it shows 2) I was on the original brake fluid from the manufacturer (I now understand how large of a mistake this is/was), and I wasn't threshold braking like I could/should have been because I didn't want to wind up being "that guy". 3) I was getting ready for the car show at 9 A.M. that morning and couldn't secure everything in my car tight enough, hence the windex and other crap rolling around and 4) I will remember to mount the camera outside of the car next time. Rook mistake. (EDIT): I got some amazing advice from the guys there though. Z1nonly told me that as long as I'm on the road, I'm doing fine, and so I didn't feel like I needed to burn the course to the ground, but instead to just enjoy the road and the car. And Steve told me that if you ever think you're coming into a corner too hot and you think you won't make it, just try to make it anyway because chances are the car's limit is higher than you'd expect. That piece of advice saved me once or twice this weekend. Knowing the course is HUGE. |
^^^The 3 gun clip was fun too!
(it was on the playlist) |
lol guns n' cars. It's what I do!

I did not really do a good job with video this year. Next time I need to put more time/thought into it.
Here is a run out on Hellbender towards 129. To me it is the most fun road there because of the speed. The most impressive part about Hellbender, especially if you are a first-timer, is at about 1:10 where you make the left hand corner that opens onto the bridge. You see that huge rock face ahead of you and just get that feeling that you're somewhere special. And a partial run back up the Dragon. Battery died about 9 minutes in. Oops. There's a random stop at the 8 mile overlook... didn't ask what it was for. :icon17: |
Awesome videos! I really like how the sound came through on yours. Is your camera mounted lower on the bumper?
I find it interesting that most people say they enjoy Hellbender more than the Dragon. I enjoyed both equally. I just need more brake upgrades before next year! |
On a scale of 1-10, if the Dragon is a 12, Hellbender is like a 12.5 to me. :p
|
IMHO:
The Dragon = "gasbraketurngaaasshiftturnturnbrakerevmatchturnga aas" 28 = "gaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaas........brakerevmatchshiftgaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaas........" I may be exaggerating a little.:p |
