MAZOC Motorcycle Run/Old Stein Inn Dinner - Saturday, Sept 28th
 

So this has been in the works for a little while now, as we had to wait for my fiancee to get her motorcycle license. She has it now, and it's time to schedule a group ride!

This ride will be mainly for NOVICE riders, so barring a few exceptions, cars are out. If you are curious as to why: if you have never ridden before, riding with traffic around you can be a nerve-wracking experience. I want this to be as fun as possible for our newer riders, and/or people who simply haven't ridden in a group in a while. It'll be relatively slow, and a fun way to begin the fall.

Right now, the group is rather small. I'd love to turn this into our Gordon Biersch Meet-up of the fall, too, so lets see how many people we potentially get...

My preliminary idea:

1:00 - Meet up around Bowie Town Center, and have a brief, light lunch.
~1:30-2:00 - Short safety brief before departing Bowie for back roads ride down to Chesapeake Beach (yes, the same route we took with the downed tree - thanks, Randy!)
~3:00 - Arrive in Chesapeake Beach. Partake in some of the local establishments, such as the amazing coffee house down there, and enjoy the area while the weather is nice.
~4:00 - Depart Chesapeake Beach, and ride up north toward Old Stein Inn
~4:45 - Arrive at Old Stein Inn for an early dinner. The outside seating should be great at this time of year!

After that, we'll part our own ways. That said, I think most of us will be taking the same route on the way out (north to Annapolis, hopping on 50W/97N), so we can ride together until we all split off on our own.

1 week away! Aniceh is spreading her wings and finally riding rolo, and Kim has put in some more miles herself. I'll be going out at least once more next week before our ride. Who knows how the weather will be, so make sure your thermal liners or a decent hoodie is available, it may be chilly initially...

Been playing a lot of GTA V so I might jack a bike and join the cruise.

Weather is looking great for Saturday. Again, maybe a little chilly in the morning, but the sun should be out and it'll get comfortable very quickly.

Kim just got some PROPER riding boots and some better gloves last night, so she has all the gear she could need.

Looks like it will be a mighty fine day to go riding...

I'm a little iffy for dinner tonight as I have a lot of work I need to get done for Monday, but we'll see.

So I just looked - Carrabbas isn't even part of the Town Center lol. Lets meet up at the Three Brothers Italian restaurant. It's relatively cheap, and it's actually in the town center, near the entrance.
