Well my PS3 died again on Friday night. I knew the fix wasn't permanent, but I was hoping it would have lasted more than like 3-4 weeks. I just ordered a used PS3 Slim 320 GB w/ 1 year warranty off eBay for $178. Should be here by Thursday :tup:

So Xbox has been giving games away all summer assuming you have a gold membership. I downloaded Assassin's creed II on a whim and had a lot of fun with it but now I'm kinda sad it's over. I've heard bad stuff about the sequels.

I would have sold you my PS3 for $100... :facepalm:

I was mid-way through AC2 when my PS3 died. I pre-ordered AC4 with my PS4 so I'm trying to get through all of them by then. Only thing that makes it difficult is GTA being released in 6 weeks :eekdance:

Nah I wanted the newer slim model, not the older one you had. This one also has way more storage and at least 1 year warranty in case it decides to die too.

AC2 was pretty good. The story was great and the mechanics were fun. My only beefs were:
-The controls got hinky now and then. Ex: for the last time NO I DO NOT WANT TO RUN UP THAT WALL GOD DAMMIT TURN LEFT YOU *** AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

-I'd spend 10 minutes stalking the guy I'm supposed to kill and carefully coming up with a way to do it only to figure out that the easiest way to kill anyone is to leap out of the sky and either impale your target or just ignore the guards and chase him down and stab the target and run away afterward.

-What was the point of all the city upgrades? Ok cool, I have money now but what do I buy with it? 2/3 of the way through the game you end up with the best armor available that doesn't require repair.

AC1 had some of the same mechanics issues, but AC2 did clean up some of them.

I think I'm at the halfway point in AC2, so I still have armor I can upgrade.

I played "The Last Of Us" this weekend... FINALLY... its pretty fricken awesome.

I want to play Last of Us, but I doubt it will happen unless I can finish all the Assassin's Creed games and GTA V before the PS4 comes out. Looks like I will have a steafy supply of games to play for a while. Just wish I had more time to play them.

Yeah, time is hard to come by, although playing a game like the Last of Us, drags you in.. haha.

Ditch AC and start The Last of Us. AC is nothing but repetition after the first city, go do the same crap in a slightly different looking city. If you're in it for the story, go you tube it, you're going to be disappointed. I feel like AC series is like Lost, they had a good story line but didn't quite flesh it all out from beginning to end and towards the end of the series its blatantly obvious even the writers don't know how to tie it all back together and the story goes to ****.

I might do that, but I gotta finish AC2 first. Maybe I'll pick up Last of Us after AC2.

I can officially say I am running windows 8 and android 4.3 side by side on the same pc

What's the purpose of running Android on a PC? Is that for like app development?

The ultimate plan is to sell my nexus 7. Buy a 7" windows tablet and run a dual boot windows 8 tablet and android tablet. The battery life savings over windows 8 is massive. Plus the ability to use cool little apps and games is nice. You would also have windows for flashing tunes, productivity apps, and overall usefulness.

Hopefully I should be able to finish AC2 sometime tonight. I ordered Last of Us and it's supposed to be delivered today. My new PS3 wont be here till tomorrow though so I can't play it till then.

In other news, I upgraded my FiOS speed from 15/5 to 50/25. Got that and a bunch of channels (including NFL network, which is the main one I wanted) for only $25/month more than what I'm currently paying. Gets activated on Monday :excited:

That is the only reason I got it. Got tired of watching the ghetto streams online. Was hoping ti watch the preseasin game today, but I will have to ghetto stream it one more time.

I know, but I'd rather watch them in HD. Not gonna pay $200 for the NFL Sunday Ticket thing. Good thing the Patriots aren't a crappy team, so they do get a lot of their games on tv here if they aren't on the same time/channel as ravens and redskins games.

yea yea yeah.. well, we'll have to keep our phones available so we can pass on what streams are working, just in case.

So the PS3 I ordered was a console only from eBay. What I didn't realize was that they changed the power cord for the PS3 slim so I can't just use the one from my old PS3. New power cord won't get here till Tuesday so I can't play Last of Us till then :(

I guess I'll just have a lot more time to watch Dexter. :)

Watching this stream right now (game starts in 10 mins). Sound isn't as good as other streams, but picture looks pretty good for a stream. I can actually read the text In the screen clearly.

So I found one that worked pretty well for the most part. Good picture and sound quality (for a stream). After half time it did seem to freeze at like every play and then would go back to normal right after the play ended.
