Man Of Steel Viewing - June 22 - Columbia, MD
 

Let's all go see Man of Steel! We will be going on the 22nd of June at the Columbia Mall Theaters and I will post a time once screen times are posted for that day.


Update: We will be attending the 2:40pm showing at AMC Columbia 14 (the mall) get your tickets! I plan on getting there around 2pm and hanging out in the lobby if its really hot or just out front if its nice out. If you want my phone # to help find each other at the theater just send me a pm.

Okay, I was just reminded that I volunteered to help a co-worker move into her new home on the 15th and it looks like people are leaning towards the 22nd anyway. So the date is the 22nd, show times aren't listed yet so I'll update that once they're posted.

Looks like $ 17 on Fandango for IMAX 3D.

I think I should be in + Dana.

That is a Fairfax meet week so if you can I'd look for afternoon or evening showtimes. :)

It may be cheaper to buy it on blu ray when it comes out.. Its been a while since I've been to a movie, are they now running $17 a pop?

Yeah they aren't cheap especially in IMAX. But the experience makes it worth it.

For the people who have seen it, care to write us a review? I don't care about spoilers :tup:

I've been reading mostly positive feedback. Some reviewers have commented negatively on supporting character development, length, etc.; everything else that doesn't support the purpose of a Superman origin movie. Either way, I suppose it's safe to say there isn't a shortage of action :tup:.

Just please do that in another thread. This is for organizing the MAZOC meet to go see the movie. :)

Please post when we settle on a time and tickets become available. I REALLY want to see this and wouldn't mind driving out there to hang with all you cool people!

Times for movie showings are still only listed out to june 20th. I'll post the info for sure once I can. If we go off this weekends show times we can estimate a 12:40pm showing for IMAX with no 3D.

Are we wanting to do it early or later, like FF6?

I'd prefer to do it later like ff6 but I have a feeling the only IMAX non 3D showing is going to be mid-day if this weekend's show times are an indicator.

If people want to see this in 3D then I'll pass the reins off to someone else to schedule this. I can't do 3D, it gives me migraines and I'll go see it on my own time.

Yeah I'm hoping for later in the day as well. We could always go back to Arundel Mills if their schedule looks better.

And I'm with you, I don't want to watch in 3D.

I'm fine with 2D! Besides, that would not be fair making you miss the event you are hosting.

Yeah hopefully on Wednesday we can decide on a time. My only request would be to make it so that we can have a normal ffx meet with lunch and still have time to make it for the movie. With FF6 we left Fairfax right after lunch and the timing worked out perfectly.

Okay so showtimes are about what I suspected.
Columbia Mall - 12:35pm
and thats it as far as IMAX no 3D in my area.

Might it make sense to check theaters down in Fairfax near the meat to begin with? Regal Manass Stadium has a showing at 1:20pm

We can just see it in regular screen. It doesn't have to be IMAX or anything.
