I don't know about Alexandria but I can recommend Contour Tint in Chantilly.

Is there a preferred MAZOCian window tint place in or around Alexandria?

P.S. Like many things automotive (or otherwise really) I know very little about wind-er tintin'; any suggestions welcomed.

Can't offer any shops up but some advice is to remove the window seal inside the door before taking it in. It'll save you a headache later if the shop doesn't get the tint far enough down. Real easy job.

1. Remove the door panel
2. Remove the seal
3. Install door panel and reset the window switches
4. After 3-4 days, reinstall the window seal

Removing it gives the tinter plent of room to shove a couple extra inces of tint down below so the auto-down/up doesn't wreck it before it cures.

First, thanks for the tint help. I'll be getting it done. They don't even have to remove my Hello Kitty decal.

My next request is a taller order. What would it take to enlist some MAZOCian goodness to install exhaust? Should I do HFCs at the same time I do the cbe? Also, when I say "I", I really mean one of you way more qualified peoples.

Oh, all I have are vice grips and a Swiss Army knife. That, and assorted bug nets.

If you have access to a lift, it would be worth it to do it all at once. If not, a good set of jack stands, and an overnight spraying of WD-40 should help get the demon bolts loose enough.

But I would say do it all at once and be done with it rather than doing one then a week later the other...

Personally I would just do the catback. HFC is not really worth the trouble, especially here in NOVA (you can fail a visual inspection with HFC).

Oh, Dee, any chance you are interested in a set of AP2 V1 wheels with winter tires (Pirelli Sottozero Serie II) with only one season on them? Turn your S2K into a snow machine!

m4a1mustang 11-19-2013 08:05 AM

Two road trips to Michigan within the next two months? Sounds like you could use... snow tires!
