Yes they are LED pods. Yes they make white. Yes it was a very easy DIY. After a couple days, the backings of the LED pods stopped sticking so I used a little dab of loctite on each of them and haven't had an issue since.

hehe yeah I'm familiar with them and they do look good. Just your picture makes it look crazy! :icon17:

It has to do with the way the iphone camera auto-adjusts to ambient brightness. I have the same problem when I try to take pictures of my headlights.

wait so you're sayng pods. don't they make LEDs you can directly replace the bulbs with? I thought there was a vendor on here selling all sorts of colors. when I hear pod I think of these things LED Pod Lights - Auto, Motorcycle, boat, truck, trailer, RV, RC Hobby, and so much more. Expect only the Highest quality LED Pod Lights..

Are they battery powered or did you wire them in? or am I lost?

Its the actual plastic clear piece that covers the actual bulb or LED thats there. Its a clearer piece that allows more light to pass through.

I hope he has his floor pans bolted down real good, that's enough NOS to blow off the bolts!

I get the feeling this guy is a little on the "wacky" side from what I'm reading. A bunch of armchair mechanics have already pointed out that the way that harness is set up, it could possibly result in severe back injury.

Here's the reddit thread if anyone's interested:
