"I am Vietnamese, grew up in an all Viet/Chinese family.. if I don't know what superb pho (like homemade pho) tastes like, I think my people would chuck uncooked rice at me :D LOVE LOVE this pho place! Back when I was in the service and I would go to a foreign country, I'd ask the local cab driver or the bell boy (not the concierge) where they eat at. Often they would first recommend the typical tourist places. When I explained I wanted to know where THEY ate, they often had a different place and there I'd go. Now, in some places in Hong Kong (Wanchai), you would not do that at the risk of getting killed. Its just that way if you are a foreigner. However, most places always have little back alley eateries with the most authentic and best tasting dishes at normal prices.

Dude, China was fun, I had an awesome time, I would sooo like to go back. I even got to see the Great Wall, pretty cool stuff.
