All true sports cars experience brake fade, fuel starvation, and oil-temp-induced limp mode on real race tracks. LOOK IT UP

When I google "shadoquad limp mode" none of the results say anything about cars

Yep. Track work stresses components more than you could imagine, Dee.

I guess so, I dont anything about the track, its definitely not my area of expertise.

I gotta be honest fellas, when I buy my big brake kit, Im solely buying it for looks, not for its performance.. those kits look pimp especially when they're powder coated.

At least you're honest about it. :icon17:

Yeah I went for performance/cost over looks when I decided to stick with the base calipers. Saved like $1500 and mine brake better on the track (unless you get a similar brake pad on the bbk).

The base brakes are plenty good enough for most people. Like you said, upgrading pads and fluid is a must for track use.

Many tend to think that the Sport brakes have more stopping power. This isn't really true. More fade resistance? Yes (although we could talk about how poorly the Akebono calipers dissipate heat relative to other 4-pot calipers).

Stopping power is more a function of the tires. Put the Sport wheels on a base and it will stop just as quickly as a Sport package car. The Sport brakes can just do more repeated stops than the base before overheating.

Exactly! Definitely experienced that difference when I changed my tires. PSS + XP8 = moar stopping nao!

I want PSS so bad. Not really fond of these RE050As, especially after having PSS on my last two cars. But it's such a waste to get rid of them right now and drop $1600+ on new tires. :icon17::icon17:
