Although it hurts me very badly to have done this to my pride and joy, there are many silver linings. It's a big bag of mixed feelings, but I can't help feeling that I got out of this ahead, since nobody and no property were hurt in any way.

Had I hurt someone or damaged their property, I would be in a much more sullen mood about all of this.

I am still very upset about the car, obviously, but they'll either repair it or send me a check, which will go to paying off the Subie, and I can start saving and scheming for the next sports car.

Thats right, bro. Exactly right. Hopefully the insurance will just total it out, so you can let that money work for you, im not sure if they'd allow it, but maybe you could part out some parts.

Lots of insurance companies will only let you take little things out of a totalled car (at least progressive did back in 05 when my lancer got annahiliated by a drunk). You cant take stuff out like the seats or the wheels.

I will be selling some things, but a lot of the car was beyond repair. My driver's seat is ruined due to the airbag deploying. Two of the wheels are FUBAR. The oil cooler is most likely done. So are the brakes, I'd imagine. My intakes are all bent, so they're no good.

I have two shift knobs, one stock and my TWM. I have the old base brakes still, so I may take them to a scrap yard, and my stock intakes. I have a car cover that I never used, and a full set of lug nuts. I'll probably sell or give most of that away.

That right there will surely total it. I feel bad for that black cherry interior you had, that was super custom and my fav part of the car.
